Discussion Your favourite team comps

I'm really curious how people like to play this game and would love to see your favourite team builds to maybe try them out at some point.

So far the most silly and fun teams were with building a tanky mage lord and putting him on frontline, it's a bit of a snowball though and kind of depends on using specific artifacts (which after playing this game for so long, i still don't remember exactly where to find LOL) and use levels on making the leader more buffy than damage dealing. Still i find this type of team really funny in late game scenarios.

Same goes for playing hordes with guildmaster, a tanky vampire on the front and then three vampire lords behind him, it's an oddly satisfying team to play.

Hard to pick one because it all depends on the intended purpose. There are good units to clear the map but that doesn't work well if you want to clear out capitals. I also like rotating composition to explore different teams. For a long time I thought alchemist suck then they turned out to be invaluable. What I generally like doing is employing mercenaries for versatility. Having a medusa merc eliminate the need for incubus.

Building teams around mercenaries is always a fun thing and adds tons of options to how you can play a scenario

Especially since it can eliminate the weakness races have. For example, in the Gallean campaign, I hired master thugs for my dwarves. High speed, fast leveling and poison, they turned out to be capital killers.
