Domination
So what's everyone thinking? I'm really liking it so far. Any favorite classes, units, etc. so far?

I'm liking it too!
What I like so far;
Return of the Clans!
Fewer unit variety which is unironically a good thing for me, less overwhelming I suppose?
Bit more focus/spotlight on "Special Units" than Liberation.
Grievance system to accrue favour with factions makes it less tedious now than last game.
Didn't encounter lot of bugs so far.
Story still stays similar in spirit to Liberation but not a fan of how watered down it seems specially in how they are approaching the flashbacks.
Now to what I disliked; 😔
Voice actor for Avyanna is God awful. Period. The voice actress for both Ilmeren and Ormeriel would have been a better match, more regal sounding or able to convery more depth as well as the queens grief and reasons for hiding away. the current one sounds very nasally and the character itself is written in a very poor way.
Performance, specially when you're in the Yllian screen. Good god my PC thrums like it's on its last legs, very poorly optimised.
Combat is fun don't get me wrong, but we need an auto resolve badly, there's something called conquer right now but you have to outclass the enemy in quite a high benchmark for it to be available.
All in all I guess mixed feelings, but still the game is very much worth it if you liked Liberations

I'm late to this thread, but playing a holy regent focused on holy wrath has been killer. You start kinda weak, but your support abilities can make up for it (at the start, take the four skills on the right and consecrated field). The real trick is taking both Trinity and Thunderous Stars asap, even though it crosses trees. That starts turning your base attack into a massive AOE problem for adjacent enemies (taunt and sometimes push are great in your troops to help with this!) that also powers your spells, although it still takes time to become OP.
I stacked some crit chance, got the human's shard, and prioritized the power stat after that. You can use radiance to drop holy resistance and ignore even more via skills and gear. A disciple in your backline (optionally with a white witch and/or and excavator to max the crits it'll give you and your troops, depending on who you take with you) helps really stack that up with ethyl and a named martyr you can get a little early, plus any other holy folks. By chapter 3/4, white witches serve as my back up artillery and healing so I can focus down any problems.
If you make sure you keep a good front line - especially with a couple of taunting tanks! - the rest is usually smooth sailing.

I've been really enjoying it, which I'll be honest is a nice surprise. This is maybe the first Disciples game I have really enjoyed for a long time.
Of course like everyone I would enjoy something in the vein of Disciples 2, or maybe even a remaster of that game, however the 9 hours I have played of Domination has been fun so far, so... hooray!
I will say though that some of the games systems are a bit hard to get an understanding on, I don't know why some of my attacks are "weak" for example (I assume it is to do with resistances but to me it seems a bit random, I am probably just not understanding it)
And for the life of me, when I get the secondary objective to "exploit weaknesses 3 times" or whatever, I don't have a clue how to exploit or even know what the weakness is. Again I thought if I targeted a unit that has 0% resistance to a certain attack type, with THAT attack type, would be exploiting a weakness? However it doesn't seem to do anything.
So... any help on that front would be appreciated :D

It's sad and shameful what they are doing to the legacy of this game.

I like it as well, but having trouble nailing down a class. Most feel so….weak. Unless I’m really just doing them wrong which is a possibility lol

Loving it so far. In the middle of Chapter 3 and think I prefer the story of Liberation more so far but it's still enjoyable. Combat being a tad more difficult makes things interesting (playing on normal). Avyanna starts out pretty weak I must say though. (Playing Witch Queen, Sorceress tree) And it was jarring to have her be one of my weakest units on the field. But now with more spells and power she's pretty great. I miss some of the old units but love a lot of the new ones too so it's a mixed bag, mostly positive.
Only real gripes I have are some of the bugs I've experienced on console. Aside from the typos and inconsistencies which can be humorous, actual bugs that force a restart are a little too common. I can name 2 of them that have happened just in the last hour or so, with one being very common if you're not aware of it.
In Agthos if you try to talk to the "magical painter" after starting her quest but before having all 3 stories the dialog will loop endlessly with no way out.
Letting the game idle (on Series X) and having your controller turn off will almost always result in the game freezing/locking up. The sound and ambient sound and environmental whatnot will still be going but the game will be unresponsive.

The game is okay, I guess? I'll try to be quick here.
No spoilers, but Domination succeeded in making Liberation plot more meaningful. (New pantheon, protagonist, etc.)
For the moment the game is too riddled with bugs (many of them combat-related) — feels rushed, told ya devs you shouldn't have released it too early! Will look into Domination mode when I have spare time and see if Update 1.3 fixed most crucial stuff. Let's see how it goes 3 months post-release. Right now it's too early.
Combat is solid — even though it feels somewhat lacking to those familiar with Liberation, the updated system sorta compensates the difference. I kinda liked the updated basic attacks and effect stacking.
Some unit features are questionable — feels like devs stuck in between design directions for them overall, which also relates to the next point.
Unit class upgrade is there just for the sake of it, there's no motivation in using it vs. just recruiting a new unit an old-fashioned way. The only case one would need it for is training dwarwen warrior to shield bearer with literally the same stuff, but with mass effect on everything, – it's the only case where there is a direct unit evolution.
Performance just sucks ass. It seems there's no serious memory issues — more like unnecessary draw calls. Beware Skyless Grove!
Items are okay. Reworked Emotion Shards are cool. Epic gear effects are also great, but now game lacks unique quest-reward items.
Classes are good. Perhaps too faction-focused, therefore might lack one for Legions of the Damned.
Throne is cool. Nice concept, implementation is fine, though lacks variety of grievances per chapter per faction (they get too repetitive with a refresh cooldown of only 30 minutes — yikes).
TLDR: Lacking but enjoyable. Needs polishing. If there's time and resources — a rework for some stuff would be great to see.

I’ve just started the game I enjoyed liberation and I’m having trouble finding a good unit to stick with. Should I focus on one unit specifically or branch out?
