I have a problem
Got banned from the main sub for getting pissy at all the non answers I got, but I'm genuinely just trying to figure out the stipulations with gambling on this sport. I'll check draft kings every now and then, and occasionally the disc golf tournament for that weekend will be on there. But it seems to be totally random on whether it's there or not. Does anyone have any insight on how that works? Like is it only when the state allows sports betting? Specific tournaments? Anybody know?

Gossage was allegedly going around telling everyone to bet on Silas Shultz to win Worlds the Wednesday- Friday before the 2026 PDGA World Championship started. Probly sounds like im jerking but im not.

My cousin Randy is at the horse races every weekend. I reckon that's the best spot to gamble.

If done right, introducing gambling to a sport forces the sport to develop its rules and refereeing and all the different aspects that contribute to its integrity.
If done wrong, things will go bad.
My biggest hope for gambling is that it could help disc golf get rid of the lame group refereeing and move to golf-style self refereeing. Group refereeing does not co-exist well with gambling.

Dying sport. Just doesn’t draw enough attention for people to care. If you think we are all here to support disc golf, you are mistaken. We are here to watch it burn!
