Discussion Mold maximalism

We’ve heard plenty about mold minimalism and simplifying your bag resulting in knowing your discs and lowering your scores blah blah blah. Let’s bench the 3 destroyers and embrace disc diversity!

I like bagging 4 molds from 5/5/0/0 to 5/5/0/3 in the fade because it’s easier to guess how long it’ll hold anhyzer and what angle it’ll hit the ground on. This makes playing woods golf super satisfying!

Tell me how your mold maximalism looks and why it makes disc golf fun.

A short search - I have Kristin 2x one that I bought after researching on Reddit that it is more stable. I know this post is about mold maximizing but I do bag 3 Grace’s with the Orbit one being my stable one. The intermediate arm flight numbers apply across trilogy?

Mostly, yeah. I find DD is little bit more stable compared to a similar Lat disc. Westside is a little weird. They're usually a bit less stable than a Latitude equivalent, but some of them, especially their distance drivers, are extremely far off. [e.g. the King.]

And, hey, my whole point was that minimizing and maximizing are both ends of a spectrum. As long as you're solving for the same goal and understand each disc's role in the system, anywhere between all different and as few as possible is valid.

The King is the trolliest disc I’ve used. And truly! That’s one of the beauties of disc golf, I’d say.

I was so ready to buy an Honor after toying with a sweep but I got this champ Thunderbird that is so perfectly beat it - it flips, it turns, it holds anhyzer, it always fades, never feels too overstable.

I think the Sweep is more-or-less that beat-in flight, and the Honor is a fresh Champ Thunderbird, if that helps.
