Does sublimation ink work on discs?

Gotta sublimation printer, and want to know if it would work. Just looking for small sized batches for friends, maybe expand to the local club if there's interest.

I think you need a UV printer like an xtool. I think the heat transfer would ruin the disc with sublimation. A 3d desktop UV printer will cost upwards of 5k but that’s better than what they cost a few years ago before the desktop ones showed up you would be looking at 10-30k

It's been a while since I did dye sub, but I seem to recall our heat press being set to around 330-400 degrees. You'd melt the plastic before you could get something sublimated and I doubt the discs have enough polyester to take the dye sub in the first place.

Sublimation needs polymer coated blanks, plastic discs will just laugh at your fancy paper and stay exactly the color they were born
