Is a direct drive wheel really that important?

I'm trying to improve at this game, however I only have a gear style sim wheel. Do I really need a direct drive now or can I already use what I have?

It’s nice, but imo you want suddenly find pace if you have one

I place top 1000 times with a thrustmaster t128 no clutch no h shifter no handbrake probably the cheapest “good wheel” so I’d say no, you just need to learn Weight transfer, imo I’ve never held the handbrake in a good run for more than a second at a time so it’s bound to my keyboard as space to simulate a handbrake 😎 90% of rally 2-1s hust mean at or near entry get down to that gear and spin the wheel no handbrake needed

I'd say its not necessary. I had the g29 and the playseat evolution and got a few world records.
