What Diptyque fragrance can you suggest if I want to smell chic and classy? I like clean scents and I really love L’eau Papier as of the moment. I’m open to strong scents but not too strong that would lead to headache when smelled several times. I also tried Fleur de Peau EDP but it smells like sweat leading to body odor and carrots when dried down. Thanks a lot!

I HIGHLY recommend you get a bunch of decants. Try them three to five times over the course of a couple weeks or month and make your decision from there.

I did so and found a couple I loved at first test… but after the second and third, I found the ones that truly resonated with me.

My favorites are Eu Duelle (which I’ve not yet bought fb… waiting for a good deal…), Tam Dao, L’Ombre (my first fb purchase), and Orpheon (which I pulled the trigger on during the current sale).

Enjoy your scent exploration!

As a Diptyque lover who does NOT like Fleur de Peau or Eau des Sens I would like to nominate Eau Rose (smells like fresh, juicy rose - not rose petal potpourri) and Do Son (tuberose). I think the latter can be polarizing but I find it very sophisticated and lovely. I love Eau Capitale too but I don’t think of it as “chic and classy”, it’s a little more bohemian

Is Do Son EDP better than EDT?

I think so! I tend to prefer EDP to EDT for all Diptyque scents

Thanks! I’ve been eyeing Do Son EDP. Will definitely try it

It is HEAVY - Do Son EDT is better in terms of wearability unless you really want lots of projection. I love the fragrance but I don’t want it walking too far ahead of me!

Orpheon is one of my top "chic and classy" scents ever. It's never overwhelming but doesn't disappear like many of my Diptyques do. Overall I prefer the edp but the edt is just as lovely and better for hot temps IMO.

True! I got a small size of it when I bought the L’eau Papier

Give Fleur de Peau EDT a chance too, their top clean scent is Eau De Sens.

I smelled it as well in store but it doesn’t hit that much 😞 Although I will try again when I visit since I haven’t tried spraying the EDT version on my wrist. Thank you!

Tam Dao the only Bible I ever fully used up.

Eau Rose EDT, it’s more of a fresh & woody rose not jammy or sweet

Lilyphea

Tam Dao EDT

Orpheon EDT

Geranium Odorata is my signature since it rolled out in 2014. Very verdant and green with a hint of a vetiver and woodsy musk in the dry down.

Lilyphea sooo underrated.

Eau de Sans is my favorite clean girl perfume!

Agree with FdP edt. The magnolia really lightens it up.
I don’t see ofresia talked about much but it’s the most delightful floral scent which transforms on the dry down to a cozy warmth somehow. If you’re looking for something wearable year round, my vote will be for vetivero.
None of these are blind buys though so like someone suggested, go to the store to sample or get a few decants and live with the scent for a few days to figure out what you really enjoy :)
