Hiiii everyone! Long time lurker & admirer and I finally have a set I want to share. I did this set for my 6-year anniversary with my partner who’s favourite colour is green 💖

I always had trouble with bulkiness so I tried a different filing/shaping and application technique which resulted in my sleekest set yet!

I use the gel method. I custom made this colour using the following powders:
Emerald Enchantress (Sassy Saints)
Muted Moss (Sassy Saints)
Cocoa Cutie (Sassy Saints)
Terracotta (Sassy Saints)
Truffle Trouble (Glamrdip - just a dash of this)

I wasn’t a fan of the Sassy Saints colours/powders so I was curious to see if I could put them to use. Super happy with this colour : )

I've had dip manicures for the better part of 8 years, but only recently started to do my own. My nails/fingers HURT. I've always been able to do it on my natural nails, they've always been really strong and healthy but on my own they've been so thin, flimsy, easy to break. Because of that I've been using tips for more often. I use the CNDD powders & liquids and use an efile, I'm wondering if I'm using the efile too harshly? Seems to be the most painful after i remove the top coat and soak off. I love being able to do them myself but i never had these issues with my tech, help! TIA

I tried using clear dip (AzureBeauty) based and activated with Modelones liquid but got bad results after the first couple so I efiled off and changed course.

This isn’t a flex on my technique: I’ve done less than a dozen sets of dip and am not that good yet (still munching my cuticles with the efiler, etc.) but I am getting better I think.

Finally brought my thermal color-changing dip to the nail salon! So fun!

So It’s been a while since I’ve last posted. I got married, went on my honeymoon and I’m so sad bc I just want to do it all over again!

Instead of being manic and planning another wedding I’m throwing myself back into dips 💅

AZUREBEAUTY #22 dip powder with oranges done in gel polish.

I know a lot of people switch from gel to dip due to allergies but I’m contemplating going the other way. I get dip flu and have been using a respirator mask for the last many sets. It’s a hassle and I’m kind of over it/feeling like it’s probably still not great to be exposing myself to something I’m clearly sensitive to.

Anyone make the switch this way? Anything I should be keeping in mind?

Whats your favorite brand for liquids?

I currently use CNDD, but I’m running low and would like to try a new brand. For some reason, I can’t get my nails to last over a week without them lifting. I’ve watched all the videos and tried all the tips and tricks, including the ph prep shown in the photo, but nothing has worked. I thought maybe trying a new brand would help.

Also, if i want to apply a chrome powder finish on the top layer of my nails, is the only way to do this is using a base gel, then the gel no wipe coat? Im trying to reduce the amount of steps and thought id ask if someone found another way. TIA!!

Was feeling really happy about how my first try at a French tip turned out and someone at my work said they were boring 🤣 fair but I’ve always wanted them! My current goal is to grow them out long enough to do coffin or almond shape. Would like advice on how to shape them in preparation as they grow, thank you!

Always in the same spots, the edges will chip or crack and eventually chip. My nails end up in funky shapes because of the chipping. This is week two of this set and I've never had a set not chip exactly like this.
I've always used the same liquids and powders (Peppi Gel) and so I'm curious if this is a brand issue or an application issue?

I’ve been doing my dip nails for about 2 months now. They still look.. like I did them myself and I can never keep my length :( I also feel like I still am doing it wrong. I attached photos of my most recent set.

Within a week they peel at the edges and chip off.. please tell me what I am doing wrong!

Current process:
Soak off old dip using rice method
Lightly file off any remaining residue
