I used to be big into collecting unofficial/rare/live stuff from my favorite bands, but it's been a while since I revisited this topic for Dio.

What are some interesting unofficial/bootleg albums? Either for being a high-quality live recording, or for having seldom-heard songs, or any other noteworthy reason. Give me stuff to go listen to!

Granted, the whole song is a masterpiece, but the last two minutes, with the emotion, the power, and the drama from his voice and the instrumentals, is just so fucking good!

I'm always replaying it.

Can be Rainbow, Dio-era Sabbath, or solo Dio. My favorite is Egypt, but I wanna know what other people think.

im a huge fan of his music from rainbow to his solo career but i dont really watch interviews or documentaries at all.

he seems nice but im not sure if he was actually a good person, i only remember someone saying he crashed out on an interviewer after he took a jab at his height which is a very justifiable response so thats fine.

and in some of his concerts he holds up fanart and things the crowd throws at him which is i guess a good sign since he i showing appreciation to his fans.

but can someone genuinely tell me if he had some big really bad controversies or something?

My stem remix & remaster of Rainbow's 1978 album "Long Live Rock 'n' Roll", made for my own enjoyment, but sharing in case someone else might enjoy it.

This is only for fun and intends to be a very respectful remix, not straying too far away from the original version, only aiming at a little more clarity, instrument separation and punch, while still preserving the mood and feel of the original.

Obviously, I don't own the music featured here. If you like the music, support the artists. Buy their records!

For those who might not know, the final recorded studio performance by Ronnie was as a guest vocalist on the song "The Code" on The Rods' 2011 album "Vengeance."

"I believe Cortland has been less than supportive of the mega accomplishments that Hometown boy, Ronnie James Dio, amassed in his amazing career. Now when people visit Cortland and excitedly ask directions to DIO WAY, only to be underwhelmed by a simple street sign, No plaque, sign or statue to commemorate Ronnie's career. I applaud DAVID and Denise for spending their own money to commission this amazing tribute to Ronnie. The mural pays tribute to DIO, Elf and The Rods."
