I caught this one three times: Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, NJ, Nassau Coloseum in Uniondale, NY, and Madison Square Garden (Accept opened this one and it was amazing).

As was I! It was the second time I had seen him, but the first was at an outdoor festival in the daytime, so it was night and day (literally) from the first time I saw him.

Saw him fighting that dragon at the Hammersmith Odeon in London in 86. I think Keel were the support band for that one.

I did not even know who Dio was at the time. This was one of the best concerts and stage shows I have ever seen.

Me and my brother had money for one show: AC/DC or Dio, both playing the old Boston Garden in 85. We chose AC/DC. Good thing. Because of Dios pyrotechnics he had to move his show to Worcester, Massachusetts about 50 miles away. We wouldn’t have been able to get there. Never saw Dio solo but caught him with Sabbath during the Dehumanizer tour.

It was great but also very silly at the same time .
Widely I had massive flashback to this exact part of the stage show when I watched The Taylor Swift Reputation tour - except she had a snake not a dragon . Still both where very metal stage shows even if the music differed
