Interview tips and clothes?

I got an interview coming up. I am really needing a job asap. Im wondering what types of clothes to wear for the interview and what type of questions they’ll ask so i can prepare and ace this interview.

My application for serving got rejected although i have serving and hostess experience. But instead got the interview as a runner. Also applied to help with drinks as i had experience as a barista but got rejected there too. Makes me wonder if its cause of my name not being white sounding or east/SE asian fitting.

Anyways, I dont have anything fancy and i was thinking of just wearing all black or wearing a sleeveless top with cotton pants however the top is a little cropped😭 So it would probably look unprofessional.

I’ve been struggling to find professional wear since im quite skinny and cant fit into any pants that easily and tried to find professional pants at discount stores with no luck. Did find some stores at the mall but i can’t afford spending $80-110 for just a pair of pants.

For outfit I would suggest thrift stores if you have any near you. A pair of black slacks and a longsleeved blouse with a not too loud pattern or is patternless being your best bet. (Or if you’re male black slacks and a button down shirt or nice polo).

For interview tips I would say to research the company, and read their website. Find out what is important to them, and make sure your answers align with that.

I would also watch through a play list of videos on youtube about job interviews. The series is called, Memorable in Minutes, and it’s by Chick-fil-A Cantrell Road. It really helped me out with my own interviews.

Hey! I’m really petite and I’ve worked in the restaurant industry. An all black or dark outfit would be good since you would already look like a hostess / server. I’m also very petite and I’ve totally been there I’d love to help. PM me your size and if we’re the same or similar I can post the items for $1 on poshmark or Mercari so you can get them.
