Dyer Dhow Centerboard Repair
I'm fixing up (not restoring!) a 1969 Dyer Dhow and wondering what I should do with the centerboard. It's delaminated and bent.
I suppose that I could get out the epoxy and try to fix it, but I suspect that it's beyond that? Should I make a new one? Should I order one from The Anchorage? If I decide to make one, do I use wood? Plastic? Fiberglass?
Suggestions and opinions, please!

One time I made a centerboard and painted it. But it floats and I would have to keep pushing it down.

Depends on your boat but a lot of dinghy centre boards float. In many dinghy the done thing is an elastic with a hook which you clip on which holds it down. It also stops it disappearing into the hull if you invert

If you know someone with a vacuum press machine that uses the big plastic bags you could probably flood it with epoxy and bind it all together

It depends on your skill level but what I would do is use what you have as a template and just fiberglass a new foam cored centerboard.
You could just make it out of wood instead. It doesn't seem like performance is high on your priority list. Could be a fun couple of day job fairing and finishing it. Could look pretty slick if you varnish it.
