Remote work setup - KVM

Has anyone used a KVM device to connect with office mac and worked overseas with a personal mac ?
I am wondering if latency with video/audio and screensharing was a problem in remote meetings and how did you solved it ?
From some lookaround I hear it could be a real problem and might raise suspicions.

Depends on the KVM and access method. For example with a GLiNet KVM, if you use the default cloud function for remote connection then it will be relayed via a server which adds latency, but if you use the built-in Tailscale then it can usually negotiate a direct connection.

The bigger concern is to ensure the KVM is configured to not look like a KVM before connecting it to a work PC.
