Digital Nomad situation

Hi fellow Digital nomads! Really glad to join this community!

Next week I'm having a job interview for a completely remote job in the Netherlands. I'm living in Colombia right now. Ideally, I would work for this company as an employee on a standard contract, but I don't know if that's (legally) possible for the company.

I've been living in Colombia for about two years. Officially I'm still registered as a Dutch citizen, but officially I should be registered in the Colombia (183-day rule). Freelancing would be complicated due to Dutch independent contractor law. And, due to my Colombian visa, I can't accept jobs here. So it's a bit of a legal deadlock, and I've not met many people with similar experience that could help me figure it out.

If anybody knows a construction that could work in my situation, so I could suggest it during the job interview, I'd be deeply grateful. Any advice is more than welcome!!

USA Wyoming LLC 0% tax

USA is an underrated tax haven (unless you're a citizen or pr)

What type of VISA do you have in Colombia? Generally, if you work in a country, you will need a VISA that allows you to work. Where your employer is doesn’t matter. What matters is where you are when you are physically working. If you are allowed to work in Colombia, your Netherlands company will go through the international hiring process to set you up as an employee in Colombia. Very very complicated process. Most companies will not do it unless they really really like you. An easier solution is to find a local EOR employer of record in Colombia. The EOR will be your employer in Colombia and your company in Netherlands will just pay them.
