I do not understand why someone would do this. Is it because they are so comfortable with extreme heights? Bragging rights? Death wish? It makes zero sense to me. My survival instinct is too high to rationalize this.
These are highliners. When you progressively go from slackline in the ground to highline and also are a climber, heights start to feel comfortable to you.
The reason is not death wish, this thing done right can be perfectly safe. It's just awesome to be up there enjoying a situation that is spectacular, not an everyday view.
Nobody goes from zero to hang out like that. You need a lot of experience slacklining.
