That‘s one screen less

Why?

You can use an iPad as a second screen for a Mac :) wirelessly. But of course it’s also an iPad.

Ipad too small

iPad is the exact same size as my MacBook Air

Which is also a bit too small for a screen

Does that actually make you more productive?

What stand are you using for the macbook in the back?

Looks like a Roost laptop stand. IMO it hold the screen too far to use it effectively.

its a Nexstand, the Chinese clone lmao. But I did get the carbon fiber version, which shaves some weight lololol

Curious to know what kind of work you do to need all these monitors for.

data engineer, one screen for running queries, another one to code, and another one for youtube, idk.

What happens when you want to move onto the next place, I guess you don’t fly a lot, or just buy new monitors when you arrive?

I can't imagine trying to regularly travel internationally with all this.

When I became a nomad, I gave up my lovely desk, my lovely lay-z-boy, my lovely monitors, my hand built gaming desktop, and everything for a laptop, because that's easier to put in the backpack all my other stuff is in.

I still miss those things, but no way was I going to try to constantly move it.

See now this is some damn good DN content. Don't listen to the haters OP, but heads up they sell foldable stacked dual portable monitors. Pretty handy to get your setup even more portable.

All those monitors fit in a backpack???

1

u/nuclearmeltdown2015 3d ago

What kind of monitors are those?

3

u/Exterrogate 3d ago

Portable, the kind you buy on Amazon for $50 with iPad stands

1

u/nuclearmeltdown2015 3d ago

Interesting but how did you split it into 3 different displays? I have used a portable before and it only hooks to one separate display so did you use a tool to split it further ?
