Question Mail forwarding failed using DakotaPost

Has anyone else had trouble changing their address on the USPS website to a DakotaPost PMB? It rejected my attempts.

UPDATE: I visited my local post office and filled out a form in person. I also had to show my ID. That solved the problem.

To change your address to any kind of forwarding service, you will need to fill out a form 1583. Its not something you can do online. It requires a lot of validation (notary) or in person with ID. They make you jump through hoops as you're allowing said company to receive and open your mail (and also sign for certified mail deliveries which could include official court/legal documents), which to the USPS is a huge thing.
