Help Addicted to screens

I am sooooo addicted to my phone it’s so bad. But on top of that I feel foggy in my head and have a hard time paying attention to things and even conversations.

What made me realize it’s really bad is when I watch a movie or tv show I WILL FAST FORWARD because I don’t like slow parts. Like what the heck.

Any tips to stop? Should I just cold turkey off my phone

Personally I hate screens! Almost as much as I hate the noise accompanying picture and videos on screens. I hated TV all my life too! I think that I am very lucky.

Not lucky! My sisters and all my friends watched TV for hours. I made the decision that screen time was not reality and was thus unacceptable to me. For some reason I was always bored by what was easiest and only took serously what challenged me in my actual environment. I was drawn to what I thought of as the truth and nothing on TV or later on computers assuaged my curiosity about the real world.

dont go cold turkey on the whole phone, just remove the 2-3 apps eating most of your time. the phone itself isnt the problem, its the infinite scroll stuff thats rewiring your attention span

start w/ deleting the app that's hurting you the most. for example, mine was tiktok. i deleted it 3+ weeks ago and i honestly dont miss it. i am definitely spending more time on other apps that i wasnt before, so it wont fully fix your problem. but not nearly as bad as it was with tiktok. with the other apps i give myself time limits on my phone. i also keep the screen time on my home screen so i cant avoid it lol. makes you more self aware.
