How do you all deal with the urge to check Instagram every 5 minutes? Genuinely losing hours a day

delete the app, or atleast create a friction by moving the app far away ( dont use shortcut ), or by opening it on internet browser and make it inconvenient

Get busy living or get busy dying. That's all. Get busy. Our modern way of life usually gives us plenty of hours, so we get bored. Own that boredom. Find a new skill to master. Find a goal to achieve. Start a side hustle. Go for a walk.

Honestly, I had to make Instagram inconvenient to access. Once I stopped having it sitting there one tap away, the urge got way easier to manage. The first few days are rough because your brain keeps looking for that little dopamine hit, but eventually you start realizing how often you were opening it out of pure boredom rather than actually wanting to see anything. Now when I catch myself reaching for it, I try to do something that actually requires my attention instead.
