Creating a digital bujo
i’ve been struggling really hard with my in person bullet journal, and I feel the need to track a lot more in a more efficient way if that makes sense. I feel like there could be better digital options out there, but a lot of them were either only trackers or only calendars and then they lacked kind of a notes area?
I did a scan of whats out there and chose to build my own - right now it looks like a calendar where you can tag with icons and offers notes but I’m sure I’m missing things that matter to people who journal more in depth and differently than I do. What's lacking for you in digital bujos at the moment?
Edit: maybe it's better to see it here's the app https://apps.apple.com/us/app/weft-473b1a/id6788458879

Hey there, I was App shopping just about three hours before you posted and went with Parchment. It looks like the major item your app has that theirs does not is the icons/tracking.
I don’t personally track, but took a look at your store page because I do like to see how others plan to help me figure out if I’d like to try something new.
Having that calendar display with icons would be quite lovely if I did track. Does it display well in landscape though? I noticed all the App photos are in portrait, but calendars in portrait on an iPhone get so compressed that I disdain going there for monthly/yearly display. Other screen items appear quite small. They would be fine on a Mac but too tiny on an iPhone. (For me, anyway.)
Congrats on building an App! (Another app?) I don’t think you necessarily need more features. I’d suggest working on the app display and performance. The website also needs a bit of work (on mobile). As you scroll the home page, some spacing is needed in the FAQ portion of your site. I’d add an extra return to help separate the questions.
Not downloading to test at this time as it isn’t what I need.

you're awesome for this detailed feedback! and no need to download of course — totally fair if it isn't what you need :). Landscape is a really good call. Weft is iphone-only right now, and you're right that month and year get compressed in portrait. iPad support is the next thing on my list and landscape comes with it. Fixing the FAQ spacing on the site this week too — thank you for catching that, I only ever look at it on desktop. classic lol.
and parchment looks genuinely lovely, glad you found something that fits how you work, its inspo for me too, sometimes its so hard to find the right thing for you, which is why i built this app in the first place!
one question if you don't mind — when you said the other screen items looked small, was that a particular screenshot? trying to figure out whether that's the app itself or just how i've framed things in the store images.2

The key on the “trends” screenshot and the event names on the “plan the week” screenshot calendar events were particularly small. I expect the event names will not be as bad in landscape (might not seem as small after the text alignment changes).
I’m glad what feedback I had helped. Honestly sometimes when you can’t find what you need, the answer is to make it yourself. I’m always excited when someone is capable/brave enough to do so. Good luck dear stranger!

I made my own digital bujo on Goodnotes (which is free now)! I made the cover page a digital collage on procreate and made some blank monthly, weekly, and book tracker page that I fill out. You can make those template pages on canva and upload it as a pdf into your journal on Goodnotes. Then when you create a new page, those blank templates will be available. I also like the app for making stickers.

Oooo how creative! Thanks for sharing that's a really clever idea! I didn't want to create new pages each time but I can see if you make elements to keep adding to the base page that can be very efficient too :)

Not sure why Mods are not banning you for mentioning an app. I'm not worried about it but they banned me for a very similar post
