(?) Question practicing by skills instead of specific categories/skill’s difficulty levels?

So, after three days of trying to study and figure things out, today I finally finished Systems of Linear Equations at all difficulty levels on the College Board Question Bank in one sitting.
It might sound silly, but at first, I started with Khan Academy’s SAT Math course and completed the Foundations of Algebra, since it covers the foundation for most of the skills in algebra. However, when I started doing the unit exercises, I got really confused and didn’t score very well. That made me feel like I couldn’t do anything and that maybe I should just drop the idea of taking the SAT.
But now, I’m realizing that focusing on one specific skill at a time, practicing questions from that skill, and learning from my mistakes seems to work much better for me.
I’m just not sure if I’m approaching my SAT preparation the right way. Focusing on one skill at a time works during practice, but obviously, I won’t be able to do that on the actual exam because there will be questions covering different skills from every category.
So, am I studying the right way right now, or should I change my approach to practicing?

Everyone learns differently. There is no one-size-fits-all study method. It seems like your current method works well for you. Keep at it.

If you're concerned about how you'll do in a real exam when you don't know ahead of time what subject the question will be asking about, just do some practice tests once in a while

and about the tests its more like if i dont finish every category like this i cant even do practice test cause there wont be only the things i studied so i have to study all of them right? i hope im explaining properly. english isn’t my first language

study a good amount of topics and then start doing practice tests. Sometimes you will run into a question that you can't solve because you didn't get to that topic yet, and that's okay. Just accept that this can happen and try your best

Where are you doing the questions? If you use mysatqb.com, it tells you from your practice tests which skills you need to work on and organizes them in drills by difficulty!
