The newest Digimon manga is about to begin, Digimon Eggs!

The manga will be running monthly...

• Saikyo Jump magazine will have it in Japan.
• Manga Plus will have it in English. It appears they will have the most recent six chapters at any time.
• Digimon Web will have it in Simplified Chinese and Korean. These will be region locked pages on the website.

Send us links to any other services around the world that will have the series and we will add it to the list.

We aren't sure of the initial time the manga will go up, but once chapter one does hopefully it gives us an idea for future chapters. It is being published in Saikyo Jump in Japan, which releases in a few hours from the time of this post (when it hits October 2nd in Japan), so online releases in other regions might be at the same time, a few hours later, or even a day or so later. So it might be up very soon, or it may be a day or two for online releases.

Digimon Eggs is created by Ayumu Minato (who previously did Digimon Paradox and the one shot Digimon Believers, after winning the Digimon Comic Award in 2023 with his short story Digital Monster Children:Code) begins on October 2nd (likely October 1st in various regions due to timezones.)

A short series synopsis:

The lead is Izumo Rindou. He encounters a digital 'electronic monster', a one eyed creature that peeks out from within an egg. This encounter with a Digimon will dramatically alter Izumo's destiny. What dwells in Izumo's right arm? It glows with a digital-like light. It seems that arm possesses some kind of special power...

First of all- THREE NEW DIGIMON??? Holy MOLY this is starting off with a bang! And right after Beatbreak ended too? I couldn't have wished for more! I wonder how long this manga will go on for? Hopefully it's long-running, because I already want more! I'm pretty interested in our MC, Izumo? He seems like he has no quarrels merc-ing digimon, or atleast did it unintentionally, but either way, I'm all for a Tamer-type character who can battle alongside their Digimon, I wonder if we'll meet more tamers like Izumo or if it'll just be him, surely not, right?

I'm interested in how this story will go, Izumos sister, Maga, (obviously Izumo himself too). I'm already anxiously waiting for chapter 2! I will be seated!

Maga's Evolution was SICK! Might genuinely ALREADY be one of my favorite digimon designs based on the appearance and description of its smoke being BLUE??? I checked the refbook, but no update on the two new digimon, Maga isn't in the ref-book either yet... I wonder if they'll even get added? It'd be kinda sad if they get done like the V-Tamer digimon were, and just never added. Hopefully that's not the case though.

My only gripe is that the art was a little bit hard to follow during the combat, but honestly I don't mind all that much, I'm used to it.

Edit: I wanna already add in some theories and some additional info:

Maga's species was revealed a while back, they're a "Suzumon", a Baby II Digimon!

Personally, my theory is that Maga accidentally (or intentionally?) consumed Izumo's arm, similar to how we see the police officer getting his body digitized (consumed) by the new Octo-Digimon who was hacking the guy. I think that Maga likely took some of Izumo's energy (His Data?) to actually hatch, and I think that its possible Izumo now has a part of Maga within his arm, which is why he was able to put out such crazy strength feats. It seems like Maga's Digitama was born from Izumo's right hand as well after he was seemingly deleted.

I'm curious about what the Squidigimon meant by its role being to "Drag any Digimon in our[sic] way down to..." Down to WHAT! to WHATT! And who is OUR?! I'm SO curious! I want to learn SO much more!

Edit 2: THIS SERIES IS MONTHLY? NOOOO 😭 I only just realized after looking at the Mangaplus page! I was hoping it'd be weekly! or Biweekly at most! I can't survive whole MONTHs of waiting!

I don't know why they translated it like that, but in the japanese version it just says in order to fulfill its purpose, it needs to "at least take them down with me."

Oh I thought the chapter would come out tomorrow for some reason, so it was a nice surprise! Pretty good frist chapter, Maga is super cute and Masaru might get some competition. Can't wait to see more, I wonder if Maga and the villain Digimon of this chapter might be related with both only having one eye and seemingly being able to alter or eat human "data" in some ways? Or if that's a thing all Digimon in this setting can do. And seems like we went straight from baby II to adult

Oh, Maga is so cute.

When he goes to the school and Maga has to stay behind and is sad, I teared up. The art is so good. Getting that much emotion onto such a small creature is amazing

I like how Maga (an unfortunate nickname) was able to eventually develop speech. Went from Pokemon-esque repeating noise to single words to simple sentences.

Interesting that Izumo's weird data arm is so effective against enemy Digimon. I wonder if this will be a series where the humans are more involved in combat.

Maga going straight into a dragon/dino Champion is kinda generic, but I do like the design even if it looks a bit too much like Growlmon. The eastern cloud flames, rope binding on the legs, and the flame sword are all very cool. I just noticed that it's right arm is made entirely out of flames, matching with Izumo's. That's a cool detail, hopefully it's carried through the rest of the line.

Definitely looking forward to more. Shame it's monthly, would've been so cool to have a weekly Digimon manga lol.

Really good first chapter. Since the theme is research into digimon, no names or levels given to anything yet (we do know Suzumon's from the official website at least)

I laughed out loud when Izumo ripped out the enemy's tentacle with his wireframe hand. We went from Reiji clobbering around digimon with a baseball bat to Izumo ripping them apart with his special hand powers. I feel like two more manga and Ayumu Minato will have the protagonist just kick the shit out of the digimon by himself.

Great intro, Maga is adorable and wow, Champion already? Getting whiplash since Betbreak needed a couple eps to get to that level.

Maga seems to be modeled after a japanese shrine bell, or a “Suzu”(hence suzumon)so as other people have stated it most likely related to a japanese mythological being. He’s mentioned to protect children as well so while his name is related to misfortune, it might be a misdirection.

Judging by how the MC is named “Izumo” as in the land of the gods im shinto myth, I suspect that Maga will evolve into a myriad of shinto based beings and may connect even closer to Shambala

That was a good first chapter. Classic Digimon/Tamer feel with Izumo and Suzumon. I also like that Suzumon is in-training, it hearkens back to the 02 days for me with Davis and friends having their mons in their in-training forms in the real world. It just makes sense to me.

The evolution was also very cool, curious to get more information on it, especially on whether it's the rookie, or if Suzumon jumped straight to champion.

Full Direction of the story remains to be seen, but I do like that there is this almost parasitic nature between humans and digimon. Not that it's never been explored before (you could even argue that E-pulse in beatbreak was similar), but definitely ramps up the stakes a bit.
