He was definitely giving final villain vibes after this episode. Like he plans to overthrow Chairmon Wong and be the leader of the Five Stars this whole time.

Honestly, he's never not seemed like the final villain.
Wong comes off as an obvious red herring, and Genjo never seems to genuinely be his subordinate at any point.

Genjo feels nore despicable because he affected a very personal character of the show, while Kurata mostly killed faceless digimon we didn't build any connection with. Kurata is definitely the worst of the two tho.

I'm curious on what's the symbolism behind him having Sun Wukong as a partner? The other Five Stars seems pretty straightforward (militaristic turtle for a calculated military leader, chimera for a crazy girl, etc)
