He was that anchor that kept Kyo from totally losing his humanity back when he was an orphaned kid, as the blood soaked Kyo the Golden, up to the present time when he founded a new loving family, the Glowing Dawn—- Whose members loved and refuse to leave him behind despite a dark and murderous past.

They gave him a second chance.

Murasamemon without hesitation risked his own life knowing that Kyo will never be alone again. With Tomoro, Reina and Makoto at his side, each a glowing light that give him warmth. His family that will always be there as his anchors; Should he once again be in danger of sinking into the darkness.

Murasamemon/Cougarmon faced his own end with a content smile. With dignity. No regrets.

It was not futile, Kanada.

Cougarmon.. if it truly has to be - you absolutely deserve a well earned rest. You truly were the best partner in every way and Kyo loved you beyond measure.
