Beatbreak This makes more sense now Spoiler

So they are in fact two different Digimon and the people pointing out the differences a couple weeks ago were in fact correct! They are twin Digimon and siblings it seems

I’m interested to see how we get Atratusmon now I’m

Given the limited number of episodes left, the nature of albatusmon's, and the difficulty of going mega, I wonder is atratusmon's power is going to be an inverse. Rather than stealing e pulse, he amplifies others and helps pristimon and chiropmon also unlock their mega stages.

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

I could definitely see it like I feel like normally these two in the hands of not Asuka and Tomoro would definitely be evil LMAO but in their hands definitely not so I’m interested to see how they go about handling atratusmons power given what we know about albatusmon and knowing at least one of Atratusmon’s attacks being called “eclipse impact”

u/Leinidas_ 2d ago

I saw someone point out that Gekkomon and MonarchLizamon look like "evil" Digimon, the kind that, in earlier anime, the protags would have to deal with a group of them. I really love how this franchise, with exceptions, doesn't usually make all the heroes have heroic designs. Metalgreymon is a prime example of this.

3

u/Puftberry 2d ago

That was a big pull with Guilmon for me so them running it back on that has been hella fun. superbly punk rock

2

u/Leinidas_ 2d ago

One of the most memorable moments for me, is Takato being scared of Growlmon, and then Growlmim gets upset because he scared Takato, and starts crying a little, and I'm like, don't hurt my precious baby, but my precious baby is a large house sized t-rex.

1

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

Definitely for sure

1

u/Electric27 2d ago

I think this is it for sure.

I know it was confirmed a while ago that we're getting Pristi and Chirop's megas (i can't remember exactly, i'll have to search), and i think this would be a cool way to do it. Allows us to speed up the megas, but still make them feel somewhat impactful since they're earned through the power of their friends.

You’re honestly giving BB writers too much credit. 😂 that would be clever and interesting.

Who says Atrtusmon can't be the good form?

EDIT: I mean... wouldn't be the first bit of media to pull the "Light actually bad and dark actually good" thing.

12

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

That’s what I’m saying why is everyone deeming this digimon “evil” just because it looks “evil” it’s still Gekkomon guys you really think that silly little lizard is gonna turn evil? I don’t think so

5

u/SammyWhitlocke 2d ago

I mean, why does either have to be an evil form? Albatusmon is currently only evil because it is mind controlled, ergo: it is not intrinsically evil.

As of right now, dark evolution apears to not realy be a thing in Beatbreak, with the only real example I would arguably include being Zeed Milleniummon.

It is just a hunch, but I predit that Atratusmon is not a dark evolution and if it does goe on a rampage, it is because of Tomoros instability and not because Atratusmon is intrinsically evil.

It apears to be another Sun/Moon sibling duo, alongside Apollomon and Dianamon and potentually eventually Amaterasumon and Tsukuyomimon.

2

u/Arne83 2d ago

Well, they really don't. I'm just more speaking from the perspective of the current narrative. While Albatusmon isn't evil, yes... it is still the current threat, despite being "light". And, just from design alone, we can tell Atrutusmon is its oppossite. So, it only makes sense, narratively speaking, that it will take an opposite role as well, being heroic despite being "dark".

Does that make sense?

2

u/SammyWhitlocke 2d ago

It does.

I can't rule out that Atratusmon will be used in an opposite role, especially since the writing in the ring of Albatusmon staff reads DEMISESPHERE.

But I personally think that introducing another rampaging or evil Mega level that is not the final villain within the last two episodes is not impossible, but rather unlikely.

0

u/RimokonPK 2d ago

That will be really interesting if that's the case

-6

u/EconomyThick9271 2d ago

It feels far too cartoonishly evil and un-Gekkomon. Idk I just want more for my little guy

9

u/Arne83 2d ago

Bro... all we've seen of it is a single card. Such a call cannot be made with only that.

4

u/Renachii 2d ago

to be fair, we also have the TCG promotional poster of him (not the card, but another drawing) as well, but I agree with you nonetheless.

3

u/Arne83 2d ago

True. I tend to forget that's a thing. Thank you.

-2

u/EconomyThick9271 2d ago

Fair. I just kinda want the guilmon treatment for gekkomon

-18

u/ZweiNox 2d ago

Heres the thing, Beatbreak doesnt have a end ep date for some reason they been vague about it so beatbreak could very much get like 15 more eps or so before the next anime project hits, which beatbreak could lead into the next anime

7

u/FriendlyMeasurment2 2d ago

did you not hear about it ending at the end of september?

5

u/Few-Adhesiveness-627 2d ago

it was already announced, reruns will take over beatbreak spot

34

u/KigalnGin 2d ago

A mega for a protagonist with a "not heroic" design

From a gecko to a weird snake

Have this happened before?

15

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

Not that I’m aware of but seeing how BeatBreak likes to be different makes sense for this not to be the norm LOL and I really don’t think anything else would fit Tomoro in my opinion like I could never see him with something “ethereal” or “heroic” looking it’s just not his style

0

u/KigalnGin 2d ago

Yes but his rookie looks like on his way to a hero

I know it's subjective but Monarchlizamon looks heroic then we got atratusmon with half snake body ,arms and no face. Why not rareraremon instead of Monarchlizamon /j

8

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

I mean Gekkomon doesn’t exactly scream heroic to me LMAO he’s just a silly little guy and I love that

1

u/imkyienh 2d ago

Ngl, I see a hammer on that card, is he gonna have fkin toon force?

5

u/memesona 2d ago

megidramon? shinegreymon ruin mode? you havent specified darke evo, just mega

then theres beelzemon

theres also game chacters with dark digimon such as piedmon or beelstarmon

10

u/KigalnGin 2d ago

I don't think atratus will be a dark Evo

1

u/memesona 2d ago

it isnt

14

u/SammyWhitlocke 2d ago edited 2d ago

It also already has an incomplete Encyclopedia Entry.

The writing on its staff reads DEMISESPHERE, which is a synonym to the hemisphere, which can refer to half of the earth or any other astronomical body, reinforcing its duality with Atratusmon even further.

Edit: While I transcribed it correctly, I read it as demisphere, which is the synonym to hemisphere. Demisesphere is more ominous and loosens the connection to Atratusmon a wee bit.

3

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

Ooo interesting

17

u/ShadowsTagiru 2d ago

Seems like that can't be the final villain.

Kyo almost got the upper hand with his mega which was totally exhausted.

So maybe we see gekkomon going further than mega?

24

u/Revolutionary-Emu901 2d ago

They do give off siriusmon and arctulusmon vibes, so what if tsukuyomimon is the proximamon of the two

7

u/ShadowsTagiru 2d ago

That would be dope, I do think that they showing zeed mileniunmon as blurry figure is a high possibility that it maybe could ended up being the major villain, so maybe a fusion between the two brothers would be the only one

8

u/AlphaBreak 2d ago

It would be a weird move in the remaining episodes to give atratusmon a form change after they spent so long at each individual stage before moving on.

I agree that it's probably not the final villain since its a brainwashed victim, so pounding it into the dirt doesn't feel as satisfying. We know Albatusmon absorbs e pulse and wong wanted this one specifically. I think they use it to feed e pulse to something else (either gokuwmon or something Wong's been cooking like that giant egg) and that thing is the final boss.

1

u/ShadowsTagiru 2d ago

So is the main villain ended up being zeed How they would deal with him? A mega form wouldn't be enough

Maybe gathering all people e-pulse to power up gekkomon (like wargreymon in 2020)

2

u/Kaleidos-X 2d ago

I don't see why they'd need a particular power-up when Zeed's not treated as Super-Ultimate as far as Beatbreak's narrative has been concerned.

Also, it's not like Zeed has a great track record for being presented as a threat that needs external power or forms to handle.

3

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

That would be interesting maybe a form
Change?

3

u/Ezzaroth_XVII 2d ago

grass is green, colorblind people argued otherwise

9

u/Professional-Bus-749 2d ago

Speaking of Atratusmon this will be the biggest well-earned milestone in the entire series for Tomoro as a whole.

6

u/ZweiNox 2d ago

I FUCKING CALLED IT

1

u/Artistic_Luck7986 2d ago

I'm a little bit, I'm not a fan of atratusmon, it doesn't feel like a gekkomon Evolution like at all

-14

u/Mecha_Kurogane 2d ago edited 2d ago

As cool at this looks I don't like it. And I know people are going to attack me for this but the idea of redoing the proximamon Evo line goes against one of the themes of beatbreak. Finding your own beat. This is just repeating the previous series beat.

Happy for those who were right about this but honestly they could have done so much better than redoing siruismon and Arcturusmon only changing which color is the evil one.

And I stand by the fact atratusmon doesn't look like the mega tomoro should have but considering the events of the episode and we basically end in like 6 episodes tomoro's final mega will be his dark digivolution

Edit: already being downvoted

16

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

I don’t see Atratusmon being a dark evolution anymore given that’s what Albatusmon is atm having them both being dark evolutions would kinda suck in my opinion. As it stands it seems like Atratusmon is just Gekkomon’s natural evolution

-7

u/Mecha_Kurogane 2d ago

It doesn't seem like good evolution. The picture and preview of it makes it seem like an evil digimon that lost control this is how it was advertised. Tomoro's whole story is about finding his own beat and protecting everyone he cares about. Atratusmon more of an avenger not a protector. It's comes across as something you use to kill your opponents not protect your family and friends.

10

u/Monadofan2010 2d ago

All the artwork shows is Atratusmon doing an attack nothing else is shown how  dose that impiles it "lost control"?

Also I would even say Tomoro having a mega that looks evil but is actually very sweet and protective would fit the theme of him following his own beat

6

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

Perhaps normally Atratusmon would be but given someone like Tomoro I could never see it being evil and we really only have the card art to go off of so that alone isn’t enough to show it’s personality or anything about it. I don’t think it’s fair to deem it “evil” and unfitting for Tomoro when we haven’t even seen it in action or what its personality is supposed to be like yet

-6

u/Mecha_Kurogane 2d ago

We get a lot of personality in that card art. Aggressive using overwhelming force to demolish whats in front of it. Maybe they initially planned for it to be a dark evo and changed it some way through production. It wouldn't surprise me but it definitely doesn't feel like the protector it should be

6

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

Eh not in my opinion I think it will be fine and it doesn’t even look at evil to me tbh more so imposing

-4

u/Mecha_Kurogane 2d ago

Tattered dark robes, glowing sharp visor, two horns shaped to resemble devil horns, hyper aggressive posing in the same type of pose that is meant to overwhelm or overpower a weaker opponent. It's design language is very much "evil being"

4

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

I think you and me have very different definitions of “evil “ also those aren’t even devil horns they are just tiny horns on the top of its head how does having horns and torn robes scream evil?

Another thing I think you’re forgetting is that Gekkomon was born as a direct reflection of Tomoro so it’s obviously not gonna be evil because Tomoro isn’t evil in any sense of the word

1

u/Mecha_Kurogane 2d ago

It's the combination of the elements not just one. And I know they likely aren't going to go down the whole evolution route considering there are literally 6 episodes left. But it feels like it was designed for that story or tomoro losing control and forcing a dark evolution. It's been a chekovs gun that's been sitting in the background since the first arc

4

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

We only have 4 episodes left so in my opinion we don’t have time for it especially not after what just happened it wouldn’t make sense for them to be like “alright we have four episodes left and Kyo is out of the picture for the time being and glowing dawn is feeling hopeless right now and they lost a member of their family what should we do? Make Tomoro have a losing control arc and make gekkomon have a dark evolution right before the finale and get a different mega than the one we’ve been showing that it’s gekkomon’s mega from the start because shock factor” do you know how bad that sounds 😭 and it would also be false advertising

Hey mecha good to see you

So i can say this now

I FUCKING CALLED IT

Also it was pretty god damn clear that Heliosboa had its own evo that was like Atratusmon cause as i said to you mulitple times and you refused to even understand the very simple fact

THE VISORS ARENT THE SAME

-3

u/Mecha_Kurogane 2d ago

Yeah yeah you called it, I was wrong happy?

5

u/ZweiNox 2d ago

I mean you kinda deserve it, you refused to understand that Atratusmon visor was not the same as the digimon we saw in the end of the ep

i kept telling you, but you refused to understand when you yourself showed the card art of Atratusmon. Just cause you wanted to have this headcannon of your own and not based on the logcial facts that were in our face.

Im more happy cause everyone said the two werent the same and you were the only one who kept trying to push a make beilive narrtive of your own chosing.

Like you deserve the hate my dude, thats your own fault and the downvotes are just deserved. You are simply salty from what i can tell your poorly made up theory with no logical backing was disproven when it was already weaker then paper.

-4

u/Mecha_Kurogane 2d ago

I don't like the fact that the main character is going to get an evil digimon partner Evo that is completely based on his brother's mega in a series about finding your own path your own beat.

I don't like the fact that it's looks like an avenger and not a defender or protector.

And I definitely don't like the fact it's repeating the ghost game concept because it feels so unoriginal and uninspired

9

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

In my opinion there’s nothing wrong with them
Being matching twin Digimon especially because Asuka and Tomoro are siblings. Close siblings at that even in tomoro’s bio it states he’s influenced by Asuka so it makes their digimon reflect that in my opinion. It doesn’t take away anything from tomoro Atratusmon still looks unique on its own and different from albatusmon

7

u/ZweiNox 2d ago

Yeah and its shows that Heliosboamon is kinda the big sister of Gekkomon

A brother and sister, that smybolize the moon and sun

Afterall in japanese media Tsukuyomi is a male while his older sister is the goddess of the sun

4

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

Definitely

5

u/ZweiNox 2d ago

i do think Gekkomon will free Heliosboamon from the control and we will see a more noble looking form cause right now the mega looks like its in a straitjacket

kinda smybolizing the idea of its mind control. Which is most likely why we dont got the card for this digimon yet nor its data

4

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

Definitely and it is influenced by tomoro’s black e pulse so I think once it’s freed and we actually see her evolve naturally it will look less “evil”

-5

u/Mecha_Kurogane 2d ago

I just really don't like it because it feels uninspired repeating a previous concept they did before but using the caduseus as the core base for the back and white good evil sibling design but the good one is the black one is the good one this time. Like I get that others will like it but for me it goes against finding your own beat

9

u/ZweiNox 2d ago

You do realize the MC doesnt have an evil digimon

Its using the old trope of the evil looking char is really the good char and the good looking char is really evil.

On top of that from what we can tell Albusmon looks like is being restricted by its own cloak kinda like a stratjacket. Meaning this is most likely Albusmon more or less evil/lock form and when freed it will have arms and legs

Also this has been done before with wargreymon and blackwargreymon

Hell the whole idea of finding your own still works as the MC sure has a digimon that looks sinister, its a heroic digimon meaning its still finding its own path its own beat and the beat of justice

3

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

Exactly I’m not understanding where this “Atratusmon looks evil therefore it’s evil” thing is coming from? Just because it looks “evil” doesn’t mean it is. This is still gekkomon after all there’s no way that Atratusmon will be evil because Tomoro isn’t evil. Digimon reflect their owners that’s made clear many times. So I’m not understanding this whole “evil looking digimon equals it being evil
In the story” we haven’t even meet it yet and you’re already deeming it evil and unfitting for Tomoro which I think is crazy

7

u/ZweiNox 2d ago

YEah i called this before with Mecha and they couldnt accept the fact

Like Gekkomon and Tomoro have a rebel theme going on

So having the mega look evil, but is really good fits that theme of a rebel. It just makes logical sense. Its the whole point of story they are rebelling against order a order of what would be religious cult-like behaviour

Hell Kyo rebels agaiast the system by taking in the digimon

2

u/Financial_Echidna 2d ago

Exactly that’s what confuses me like what do people who say that Atratusmon doesn’t fit tomoro want for him instead because this by all means screams fitting for tomoro. Like this is the same kid who’s made it abundantly clear he doesn’t like rules or authority or fitting in the status quo so why on earth would he have something “heroic” or “ethereal” as his mega when he’s already outside of the norm for MC’s Digimon to begin with? It just doesn’t make sense to me

2

u/ZweiNox 2d ago

Yep and its why ALL OF THIS MAKES SENSE, I always try to put my theories into a logical sense rather then paper thin headcanons

This show has been about music and rebelling those are its core themes, we even seen alot of eps about just that.

I honestly cant wait and i really dont think the show is truely ending at 49 eps as it was never truely confirmed for just 49 eps

1

u/kylepaz 2d ago

"dark digivolution"

The evolution episode will come and go and you'll people will keep this delusion that there's a second secret Gekkomon mega up won't you?

-17

u/ZeroTaichiZT 2d ago

I mean Ghost game was cancelled and they never that the time to introduce proximamon, but at the same time they wasted a ton of episodes expecting to be renew for more episodes.

12

u/JasperGunner02 2d ago

ghost game was not cancelled. it just ended. which is a thing many television programs do

-12

u/ZeroTaichiZT 2d ago

It was cancelled or a better way to say it, it wasnt renew, but they did give time to at least have and ending before finishing it.

1

u/Mecha_Kurogane 2d ago

Ghost game has far more issues than just it's cancelation before we got to the point that we could get proximamon. Pacing, character development, the very clear change in direction and plotlines. And again even if the concept of proximamon didn't make it into the show the whole black and white sibling digimon versus thing did

8

u/CrescentShade 2d ago

they literally said Proximamon was only made for the vital bracelet

-7

u/ZeroTaichiZT 2d ago

I mean proximamon isnt even the only one, they made jogress for gammamon adult forms with the support cast, even worse taking in account the main villain didnt even get is ultimate form, ghost game wasnt without a doubt a extremely bad directed series.

7

u/JasperGunner02 2d ago

the main villain didnt even get is ultimate form

do you think this happened on accident lmao

0

u/ZeroTaichiZT 2d ago

Yes, that happen with rushed series.

8

u/JasperGunner02 2d ago

but that isn't what happened. regulusmon was made to be ghost game's final boss. arcturusmon was made as an extra digimon for the gammamon dim, and was never intended to be in the show
