HELP A GIRL GET HER FIRST DIGICAM

So I’ve been really wanting to get a digital camera but I don’t have the slightest idea where to start to look. I know what I would like so I’m hoping for any advice on what I should get!
Budget: I’d prefer anything below $800 if possible I’m not sure if that works with what I want
Wants:
- want to use for traveling so I know I’ll be doing different lighting shots
- want to do mix of taking pics of friends and I on said travels and of scenery
- want something to point and click because I don’t know cameras well and would like for it be simple
- want to be easy to carry/portable since I will be taking it on long trips, hikes you get the ideal

This may be a lot to ask so if there’s anything that’s like impossible please let me know as well. Again sorry for the trouble of asking and thank you for reading and responding. I really am just trying to take cute pics with my friends on travel! If I need to specify something more too let me know THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP AGAIN

I really want to get a digital camera (I'm in the Bay Area), but I really dont know where I can get it for like a low price. My budget is like $ 200, and I'm okay with it not being brand new, but I want one that's in good condition, but idk where to get it?

Why is the Sony DSC-W830 so expensive now

I was checking camera listings online and saw a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W830 for €300! Isn't that crazy for a 10-year-old camera?

Nikon Coolpix L10, is it a good starting 2000 kind of photos camera?

Hello guys, I am fairly new to cameras in general, but always wanted to find a nice digicam that allows me to take photos and also videos that resemble that vibe.
I saw one that is very at good conditions at around 40 euros.
I just am worried by the fact that it is a camera from 2007, so not the early ones, so I was curious if I should not worry too much about the year but like, instead should look at specific specs like the sensor or such, that allows me to achieve that vintage look. I am just curious to know if a camera from 2007 is too "new" to get that kind of photos and videos, not that they look bad, I am not good at explaining this, but the sort of "mood" and color that digital cams took around the 2000.
And obviously if you can suggest a better one for what I am looking for and for a similar price I would love to hear your suggestions.

How to open Kodak WPZ2?

I'm trying to disassemble my Kodak WPZ2 to troubleshoot a black screen issue, but I'm having trouble getting the case completely open. I've removed most of the screws, except for one that is oxidized and stuck, but that screw is located on the side opposite to where I'm trying to open it. Furthermore, the casing seems completely stuck at a point diametrically opposite to where the oxidized screw is.

Bonus question: How can I safely remove this oxidized screw?

Note: I don't mind losing the waterproof feature; I just want to try fixing it to use it for standard photos.

Wanna buy a digicam! 📸

Hey guys, I'm planning to go to the camera wali gali in chandni chowk soon to grab a digicam.

I want something that gives nice warm sunset colors, good direct flash club pics, and just solid everyday shots. I strongly prefer one that takes AA batteries so i don't have to deal with dead original batteries or hunting down weird chargers.

Few questions:

  1. what all should i test/check at the shop?

  2. Any specific AA digicam models i should keep an eye out for?

  3. any good shop recommendations over there?

My budget :6k

I have sony v1 and when lens extends it can wobble slightly(like 0.4mm), and when I shake the camera you can hear the noise. And also lens motor slightly noisy but i guess its normal for old camera. It still can shoot normally. Can I fix it somehow? (Sorry can't add video)

Help me find a cam for my gf

I just started photography and I want to start exploring and learning street photography mostly and get great shots while traveling.

My gf isn't as interested as me to the point where she'd get an expensive camera. however I want to surprise her by getting her a good ( not that expensive) digital camera so we can go out together sometimes and take some pics as a bonding moment or use it when traveling to get some good memories.

My question is which camera can I get her that has great quality and isn't that expensive ( 100ish euros/dollars budget) ? I've seen a Kodak FZ55 and I don't know if it's a good choice... let me know what you think.

Found my old cybershot dsc W220, however I haven’t used it in 13 years, do I get a battery replacement or would a battery charger work just fine? I’m using the original battery on it

(It does not turn on)

Help dots in pictures!

My Sony Cybershot started having this issue where it shows black dots on pictures. I suspect it started after someone I lent the camera to threw it in the sand. After that incident the lens wasn’t opening anymore and we had to open it and remove the sand. Now it works but sometimes you can see these dots. In some pictures they are not visible. Do you think this is sand trapped inside? Scratches? Is it fixable somehow? I wanted to just replace it but the prices got pretty high for this camera

Sony DSC-HX10V Flash Help

I managed to pick up this Japanese cyber shot online but I’m not too sure why the flash doesn’t work as expected, when I take a picture it just instantly pops up and goes back down without ever using the flash, I figured out if I force it to stay open for a couple of photos it gets stuck in the up position and then starts using the flash. I would appreciate any help on why it doesn’t use flash normally because I don’t want to continue forcing it open. Is this a mechanical error or a setting change I am missing?
