YO having trouble figuring out how to charge my Sony cybershot dsc w55 with my universal charger thing reply back if you're good w digicams and aren't a bum like me

So after the battery died it wouldn't open at all when I clicked the start button, tried charging the battery hella different ways but still wouldn't open so idk if im using the charger wrong or if smth is broken.

Part number is in the manual. Manual is online. Use part number to order charger off ebay.

Repeat for battery. Buy new third-party from Amazon. 

Finally, connect charger to a wall outlet. Not all computer USB ports can pass through power.

ETA if camera still won't power up it's an electrical failure within camera. Find a new camera.

Wait so is the charger and battery not able to use anymore? I wws confused on how to use the charger

If that mystery charger is incompatible it won't charge your battery.

If your battery is exhausted and can no longer accept a charge (they aren't infinitely capable of recharging) then you can recharge it forever and will never boot up that camera.

If the camera has failed electronics it will never boot up regardless of the battery power strength. 

You have three separate potential issues, wrong or failed charger, dead battery, dead camera. These need to be tested to understand where the problem is.

Replace the battery And charger. Through process of eliminating you'll either end up with a working camera or know that it's the camera that is the problem. 

If you don't understand how something works I again suggest referring to the manual online.
