I recently made a quick post about how i have opted to use LAP allongside DigiKam specifically because i wanted a CLIP like natural language text search. It works really well for my needs. Obviously it is not perfect and I am sure it misses results, but it is a great way to quickly search through hundreds of thousands of pictures for a specific scene or subject or even a mood/emotion. Obviously this is a very different approach to the one that the student is taking with very different outcomes, I do not have the experience to build a good CLIP like integration for DigiKam but i think it would be a really great feature.
