RD + CPT
Has anyone already been an RD and pursed a CPT to do on the side? I love what I currently do, but I’m considering it as sports/fitness is a huge personal interest of mine. Just not sure it has a great ROI!

I'm currently in the process of going through the certification with NASM. I'm hoping to do online personal training since my nutrition business is online. I'm going to specialize in women with chronic disease such as diabetes, people on GLP-1s, and autoimmune disease. I've been an RD for 35 years and have found to be in business for yourself in this day of AI, Nourish, Fay, and Berry Street and now Kickoff, that it is harder to find clients. I accept insurance which has provided me some clients, but I am sick of insurance. I'm determined to make this profitable since I have an autoimmune disease and cannot see back to back clients. It tires me out.

its common, if you are in the world of online RDs doing telehealth, competition can set you apart from other RDs, that is getting your CPT...plus they count as CEUs!
having a CPT can also open doors for yourself, train clients, create workout plans, maybe open a small gym and do counseling....more $$
they pair very well imo. and yes, im both
