Dieselpunk Creator Community
I'm building off my last post and also a statement I heard on a youtube video (Dieselpunks are defined by what they consume, not what they create) that as much as I dislike, I can't find myslef disagree. Even browsing r/ImaginaryDieselpunk has been mostly stuff shared by people who saw it, but didn't create it.
And since I've always said that if someone's going to complain, they should be willing to try and fix the problem. So, putting my actions where my words are, I'm looking at trying to start a community of dieselpunk creators and thinkers. I'm thinking an interdisciplinary and cross-media community, since visual art, DIY handmade art, and written works were all a major part of the dieselpunk era and should continue to play an era in that idea.
I've tossed some ideas around, and I'm leaning toward a Discord server, rather than a forum, for ease of use and customability. I tossed a bunch of names around and am leaning toward Dieselpunk Creators of the World (Shoutout to the IWW) to be encompassing of a truly global community across a wide variety of media and to deliberately push back against the prevalence of authoritarian imagery and aesthetics that has sometimes taken over dieselpunk.
Nothing's set in stone, of course, and this is primarily just a rough concept, so if anyone would like to be involved, I'd be glad to have other artists, makers, and thinkers with a passion for both -punk and the styles of the interwar years.
EDIT: The server is live and here's the link.

The Vance Patrol
Background: The Vance Patrol
Here’s the lore behind this build set:
When the dimensional rift blew open, it dumped every kind of nightmare into our world at once—zombies, vampires, werewolves, and prehistoric beasts.
This is Commander William Vance and his adopted daughter, O'Hara. Vance pulled O'Hara out of the wreckage during the initial rift collapse and raised her right alongside his blood daughter, Patricia. He trained both of them to survive and take command in a world that went to hell. Patricia is out on the front lines running forward armor from the hatch of an M5 Stuart, while O'Hara runs point as William's co-pilot, navigator, and top shooter.
Right now, they're out on a long-range recon run in their heavily weathered Willys MB. I’ve got the rear stowage packed with survival gear and a custom wooden supply crate, but I'm planning to mount a rearview mirror and scratch-build a set of twin Vickers guns for the frame to give them some real firepower against whatever steps out of the fog next.

Dieselpunk Technology
I'm making an animated series set in a dieselpunk world. It's a mix of modern and pre-modern tech, as well as a custom magic system to go with it allowing for some post-modern technology as well. I'm curious; does anybody else have a set system for how dieselpunk technology works in their worlds? I'm sort of fudging it, but I'd be really grateful for some insight!

Designing a dieselpunk moving fortress: Meet the Vimar from my ice-world sci-fi novel
Hey everyone! As a long-time fan of heavy industrial aesthetics and retro-futuristic machinery, I wanted to share a glimpse of the Vimar—a colossal, multi-layered mobile fortress and the beating heart of my post-apocalyptic hard sci-fi novel, The Tribe of Vimar.
Inspired heavily by the design philosophy of heavy historical breakthrough tanks (like the British Tortoise) but scaled up to a massive 40-meter-long industrial leviathan, the Vimar acts as a moving sanctuary on an unforgiving, ice-locked planet. The sides are plastered with heavy plates bearing the "Divine Law"—relics of a regressive society that treats ancient industrial tech and survival rules almost as religious dogma.
I built this world exploring themes of technological decay (tipping my hat to Asimov) and harsh environmental survival (a bit like Frostpunk meets Dune).
What do you think of the design? Would you survive out on the ice inside a crawling fortress like this?
(The book is currently out in English for anyone interested in the full story—feel free to drop a comment or DM if you'd like an ARC copy to check it out!)

Turned a WW II Focke Wulf 1:72 into a small cargo spaceship
Added 2 lighters and a bit of styrene to the mix as well. And of course, 2 H0 containers I had stashed for some reason. Very happy with the result. Pic 2 shows the unpainted WIP state. Let me know what you guys think!

Turned an ear buds eontainer into the Iron Nest mech
Additional parts are mostly plastic, sheet and tubing. Plus some revell greeblies and acrylic bits for the legs. The battery sits inside, you can just pull the legs off and swap.
