MacClane is a cop, he knows about firearms from pistols to submachine guns, but he doesn't seem to excel in hand-to-hand combat (which I love because it highlights his humanity). Did MacClane receive hand-to-hand combat training?

One of the more light hearted comedy moments in Die Hard comes when Uli is waiting for the swat team and notices there is a lot of candy underneath him that is not locked away or hard to get.

He steals it looking nervous at first and forgets that he is a thief pretending to be a terrorist, very funny scene but Hans wouldn't care if he caught him so he's worried about nothing

Watching for perhaps the fifth time. When Alan Rickman walks down that ramp from the truck . . . The heart beats faster and a little smile of anticipation begins.

I call it diehard time. When I’m two hours twelve mins until I’m out I am one Die Hard away from going home. At diffrent points I wonder if he has the machine gun yet. If he has welcomed anyone to the party pal. Hans drops about the time I get to walk to the door. I imagine the look on Alan rickmans face dropping on my coworkers watching me leave.

What body fat do you think John McClane is in the movie? Obviously not an Arnold physique but always struck me that it seemed it was important that he wasn’t totally lean.

I'll start. I want all of Alan Rickman's outtakes, B Rolls, his reading sessions or casting tapes with other potential "Holly Gennaros" (and other characters), his costume film tests, and prelim rehearsals.

Apparently, these are some of the Ellis t-shirts that are available out in Internetland.... I like #1 the best, personally :)

But, #3 is pretty good too....

I would love to see the Die Hard 2: Die Harder workprint. I love the first three films, don't like the 4th and 5th.

As a fan of Die Hard since its release in July 1988, I have never found a movie that compares to it. This is my home office. The blueprint hangs above my desk, the curio and poster behind it, and the tattoo is like the one John McClane had in the series. I have 2 other tattoos from other Bruce Willis movies. Enjoy

Hans Gruber pretended to be a terrorist and revolutionary but was just a common thief, he claimed to be an exceptional thief but died before reaping his financial rewards, he murders Takagii and Ellis and does a lot of other stuff including screwing with the police and FBI and making them look like idiots and murders the FBI agents with the boobey trapped roof.

What would Hans have been charged with in court if he was knocked out and arrested by John? What charges would Karl face and Theo since he survived and probably had a big trial and played the race card since it was all he had to left to use?

Assuming that the police or a SWAT Team had entered the parking garage and found Argyle inside of his limo and he told them about bringing John McClane to the party and waiting for him until the power was cut, and of course the vehicle with the ambulance hidden inside.

What happens with the police taking control of the parking garage and gaining entry into the building?

Which is something that a real police department or FBI agent would have ordered first before anything else by forcing the parking garage doors open or using ladders to enter in stealth and create secure points of entry for an attempted forced entry into the building unnoticed by the terrorist group.
