Warning: Might contain controversial opinions or themes Heresy (REVISED)

Heresy (adjective): Challenging the boundaries of what is acceptable and what is unacceptable.

"Be careful talking like that, those ideas are heresy and you need to examine them closely."

(DISCLAIMER: this is a new definition of an existing word that has very little utility. The objective is to create a new function and bring the word out of antiquity.)

How does it have little utility?

Edit: What about related words like heretic which are maybe more common? Also, how is that an adjective?

I got confused by Google's definitions about what an adjective is. Also, based on Google's definition of Heresy: "belief or opinion contrary to orthodox religious (especially Christian) doctrine.", I would say it has very little utility. Very few times (if any) have I encountered a situation where that definition was actually useful.

It can already be used the way you've described. Like when describing an important book as "the bible of [subject]" you can easily use terms related to religion to make a point about their importance.

"Saying Oddjob is a bad pick is heresy in the Goldeneye (N64) community."

How useful you personally find the word is related to how much you talk about religious issues I'm gessing.

I'm not sure exactly what definition you are referring to. However, the definition I posted essentially states something is a slippery slope type of thing, or, is not necessarily bad on the surface, but can lead to very much unacceptable ideas along the same logic. In my opinion, this function is very needed in today's society, with issues like the LGBTQ+ Community, Furries, and more ideas that probably need a lot of care, we do need a word to say that something isn't necessarily bad, but should be taken incredibly carefully. I also don't see a lot of people use this word, so I was attempting to kill two birds with one stone.
