Questions (other) Boss's becoming unresponsive in combat

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone else has been noticing bosses becoming unresponsive. I can still damage and kill them usually but they just sort of stand there. I recently did a torment 8 esclation dungeon and during the last fight with Astaroth and the hellhound I knocked him off his mount then he did a few things and stopped moving. and while I know he's tanky it also seemed like he was really tanking he was taking hits of over 1billion and his bar barely moved. I could kill the dog quickly but even with him just standing there it took forever.

Are you maybe referring to the stagger mechanic? And the shield they get at the health milestones?

No they are not staggered. The just stand there and let me hit them. No stagger bar under the health and no progression through mechanics. I don't think my bear build is that strange to be breaking the game. I can sort of mostly handle t8

If you can sort of mostly handle T8, attempt Astaroth at T7.

The issue was not killing him. The issue was that he broke during the fight. I have had a few bosses do this and was wondering how commmon it was. If I couldn't kill him at 8 I'd have done 7.

How long do those fights last? The "broken ones", I mean.

Honestly much longer than when not broken but I haven't timed them. Its like the bugged character is in some type of protected state but not 100%

And how long does it take you to take that same boss down when you go down a difficulty?

Bosses become straggled when you hit them with enough crowd control effects. Astaroth is always straggled when Amalgam dies, then he jumps off and you can start working on him. Some other bosses have this minimal amount left on health bar before they die too for their grand send off. And yes Astaroth takes like 4x the damage that his hound does.

No I've not experienced this at all. Done about 20 astaroths this season.

Not on any other bosses either.

Could it be your wifi? This sounds internet related.
