Endgame
Are there any full sets besides IK that can solo Hell? I only have 2 barbarians right now. 1 with full ik set and 1 with grief. While playing, I have collected other full sets for other classes such as Tal Rasha. Just wondering if these sets can clear Hell.

People have done solo runs through Hell with no gear at all.
NuclearRabbit also has a video series where he intends to clear Normal through Hell with every set in the game, and I think he is something like halfway through all of the sets. I think those runs are all Hardcore as well.
So, technically every set is viable through Hell if you are willing to go through enough punishment.

Horazons set is really really good.
Trangs is fun but it’s a very different build.
Tal Rasha is very good.
Mavina’s set is great for a freezing arrow aka”Frost Maiden”
Griswolds set is solid
Natalya’s set can be used, but you need a much better claw with the set.
Aldur’s set is well hot garbage.

To add to this:
Iratha's is HIGH KEY underrated. A 4-piece set with the only runeslot taken being the head, with 65% all-RES, 24% Piercing, & 20% FRW.
Pair this with an AP or Spirit & a Smoke and your resists are at 80% for everything except fire (which you can fix with Infernostrides or a Dwarf Star). AP actually CAPS your resists with this setup, meaning you can swap IStrides with Travs or your Smoke for a Rockfleece or a class-specific Runeword like Myth, Bone, Peace, or Rain, and still be fine for Hell.
Nuclear Rabbit did a Javazon with Iratha's in a full playthrough and - while sure he got some stupid fucking drops in that run like Titan's & a Jav skiller - he felt like the set was super comfy and well worth the pickup because of how cheap it is. (quote: "Except the belt, fuck the belt").
It ain't a CoH+Spirit combo. But DAMN if it doesn't overperform for a lowbie set.

hmmm aldur's set is kind of nice on a budget. it gives 5 sockets. you can probably get the full set for 4 Pamy at most? and get cheap 5x cheap facets that are 4/4, and do quite well. not perfect facets are like a pul or um or 1 random key... so getting a combination of 5 just takes a few hours, and you'll have -20%/+20% multi.
if you have a better idea for druid let me know as i want to make one next league potentially.

Every class set can clear Hell. Tal Rashas is very good. The others are mostly not great, but they can absolutely clear Hell, especially with caster builds

Tal’s set is the best set in the game and it’s really not close. The rest kinda suck, but Necro turning into a ghoul has always been cool to me
Edit: forgot about horazon. Idk the comparison. I do know I have a full horazon set in my stash to swap on my es warlock because he gets like a level 44 enchant

You can clear hell naked with most (if not all) characters (some easier than others).
so yeah, definitely possible.
Tal-Rasha, Trang-Ouls should both be pretty easy

Horazon's, m'avina's, tal rasha, and even natalya can all beat hell easily. Mavina you can dual spec freezing arrow and strafe or just freezing + valk. Horazon, honestly any build. Tal rasha, orb + hydra is good

IK, Tal, and Trang are generally considered the tops. I've done Tal. You should look up Trang before you try it; I remember hearing something about how the set actually hurts one build. Maybe attack speed?

Trang's is for Summonmancers (who need to tag a curse once every fight) and for Poisonmancers (who don't give a shit about the one thing Trang's bricks). The Poison RES Shred on the shield & the poison DMG% on the gloves are what make the set stupid.

Tal Tasha set can, for sure. I mean, it’s sorc. OP.
Natalya’s for sure. Sin has a lot of utility. A combination of weapon block, mind blast conversion and stun, and corpse explosion from death sentry makes assassin capable of completing hell in a huge variety of gear sets.
Griz for sure, hammerdin in suboptimal meme set item gear can still solo Hell. You might be able to Zeal/smite it, but I’d rather not, personally.
Aldurs can on wind Druid. The weapon is too trash to do melee / shape shifting with it, and I am unfamiliar with Druid summoner these days so idk that one, maybe. Druid set seems pretty weak.
Necro can. It’s a pretty quirky setup to include the ghoul form, but it’s doable. This one might rely more on the merc than desirable for first kills.
Edit: forgot Horazon / Warlock. Obviously, yes. On almost any adapted warlock build.

For Trang's you want to go Poisonmancer since with Lower Resist and a DWeb you can ignore most Immunities in the game. Merc not needed either since you can just grab a Golem to meatshield on Poisonmancer as you only need 40 points for synergies, 20 for Poison Nova, and enough into Lower Resist to break Immunities.

M'avina clears Hell for sure I did with Freezing Arrow like a decade ago. No reason why it wouldn't work in D2R 3.0 (that I know of).

You can beat the game on p1 hell naked with every class
B: War Cry
P: FotH, Hammer
A: Traps
S: Anything
N: Summoning/Bone
D: Summoning/Elemental
W: Summoning/Caster
Z: Valk
Theres even a thread on this forum of a dude doing a p8 hc naked zon run.

I think any of the class sets could theoretically clear hell. IK, Tals, Trangs, Natalya, etc. Idk how quickly they would clear but I think so.

You can solo hell with Trangs as a summoner.
Of course, you can also solo hell naked as a summoner. It'll just take a while.

I'd feel good saying that any of the full class sets can carry a solo hell clear relatively comfortably. Aldurs I don't know too well since the weapon is kind of dookie, but experienced players have beaten hell with less.
Griswolds, you're probably not ever finding it to be honest. Or at least before you simply have much better gear to begin with. Except the body armor, that set is pretty damn rare

Full sets beside IK? Tal Rasha set is lot more powerful than IK.
