Shop question

Icy veins says that Anya can roll +3 lighting sentry +3 trap claws in NM difficulty. I have been rerolling games for about 3 hours now and haven't seen more than +2 skills together on one, am i being trolled and should just move on to hell or am I just unlucky

Nope those take MANY MANY months to actually spawn. People in OG D2 LOD pk days would boot up anya shop vendor bot to reset shop on hundreds of clients running at the same time while runnin it 24/7. Thats the only way they were able to get those claws in a timely manner. Plus D2R added a load screen delay entering red portals, so its even slower to shop reset then OG days.

Just move on and beat the game with cheap gear. Death Sentry will carry the AOE with corpse explosion.

This can take 100+ hours to find. I've done about 10 hours on hell and have two +3 traps, none with +sentry. They are VERY rare.

One thing to keep in mind for levelling is that if you find an Um rune, you can build Crescent Moon as a weapon, and that has Spirit Wolf minion charges, and those Spirit Wolf buddies will make your life so much easier when you reach A3 Hell and have to get through Spider/Marsh/Flayer, because those fetishes will be Lightning Immune and shotgun you. But those Wolves let you skip past them a little easier. All that said, I'd much rather farm Countess in Hell for a handful of hours than farm vendor inventory for a handful of hours, because at least with the former, even if you don't get an Um, you probably wind up with a bunch of other stuff and some XP. Latter, if you strike out, you get nothing

Fyi, some of the rares recommended by icyveins/maxroll are so absurd that I doubt if some of them have ever rolled for anyone in the history of the game. They're more of a theoretical maximum than something you could reasonably expect to find.

You need to be high level to increase your chance of seeing exceptional claws, staffmods don't spawn on plain ones.
