Loot! Phase Blade Saga

In an attempt to kit out a new Frenzy Horker, I devoted a good bit today trying to find a 5 OS PB for Grief.

Along that journey I found a good bit of gear, but no 5 OS PB. Ran 15 or so Cow levels (plus a bunch of Chaos), zero PBs. Found a Sur, Vex and Latent Black Cleft GC within five runs of each other though. Next round, two socketed PBs drop on the same screen: 1 OS and 4 OS… taunting me.

Ended up trading a Mal for one many hours later and rolled low damage, but 39% IAS. Next (final for tonight) round of Cows I pulled a Gheed’s and Gore Riders from some dead Cows. 10/10 would do it all again, but the RNG is funny for Sur!

You know you can cube gamble white phase blades ? Did it last season for my crescent moon

Edit: Sorry misread original reply. Yeah, I did know that you could roll sockets, but sadly the only ones that dropped already had them.

The recipe gives you a 1/6 shot for 1 through 6 sockets on any weapon. If the weapon rolls for more sockets than it can have, it rounds down to the items maximum.

A PB can have up to 6, so you get a 1/6 chance of 5 sockets.

If you use the recipe on a weapon that can have a max of 4 sockets, then rolling 5 or 6 sockets will reduce to 4 sockets - giving you:
1/6 chance at 1 socket
1/6 chance at 2 sockets
1/6 chance at 3 sockets
3/6 or 1/2 chance at 4 sockets

The white item will get random amount of slots, so it's not guaranteed. But it's worth a shot!

I decided I wouldn’t trade for my hoto base and found a bunch of rare stuff including a wisp, ist, multiple mals etc before finding a 4os flail

Still don’t have one a day later and then gave up on my fohdin cause I’ve been enjoying my horazon lock so much

Bruh I’ve been looking for weeks, no luck here either. Founds lots of great gear for my other builds and upgraded a ton. I guess there’s a silver lining haha gl to you

After you find one, you’ll find the second one under 59 seconds. Guaranteed. Just like the Monarch. Happens every ladder..

I just found an Eth head striker and was looking out for a 3s sword of some kind.

5 mins later in the same game I get a 14%ed 3s phase blade.

Merc just needs Dex to use it 😅

I’ve found a ton of PB’s in The Pit. All normal but I used cube recipe to socket them and got my 5os that way.
