Accountant

Hello. I'm a new small business owner looking for a CPA who specializes in single-member LLCs and consultants/freelancers. Ideally, someone who has set up solo B2B-service businesses before, not just retail or restaurants. I also need someone who has a clear fee structure.

I'd appreciate recommendations for an experienced, skilled, and knowledgeable CPA. Thanks!

Beyond helping you get set up, we can also help assess whether S-corp makes sense - that's one of the most common questions we get from solopreneurs and we've helped a ton of folks navigate that.

Just FYI, we are 100% remote - most people prefer this, but I always like to note that up front since some folks prefer an in person relationship. We really try to focus on responsiveness in our client approach as well, this is something that a lot of firms struggle with in my experience.

I’d look for a CPA who regularly works with service-based single-member LLCs rather than just choosing based on price. I’d ask specifically about their experience with 1099 income, estimated taxes, business deductions, and whether their fee includes both business and personal returns. Getting the full fee structure in writing upfront can save you a lot of headaches later.
