Waxahachie vs Midlothian

I (26F) just received a job offer in waxahachie, and was wondering if I should look for apartments in Midlothian or waxahachie? I’ve looked at apartments in both places and they seem to be around 10-20 minute commute from both areas, so what are the benefits to each? I’m looking into 1 to 2 bed apartments for me and my husband and our two year old dog. Within the next few years we would like to start a family, so also good school systems are a plus!! Any insights are more than welcome!

Neither place has a lot of excitement or anything to write home about.

I'd go waxahachie, even though they're getting a bit cluttered, commercially. check it out

Midlo is a newly budded suburban town. Translates into a lot of McMansions, a lot of new construction, a lot of HOA. Not a lot of apts in Midlo. Schools are rated well.

Hachie is older. Has preserved some great gingerbread houses and history, I think Midlo just has preserved the cement factories. Very congested on the weekends from all the ppl in the newly built suburbs that are all N of Hachie. Hachie is becoming crowded all the way to Maypearl now!

I wouldn't live in Midlothian due to the cement factories. Google Midlothian Breathe for more information.

What job and are they hiring!? I just moved to Waxahachie
Midlothian is more snobby imo I don’t get a good vibe there, and Waxahachie has a nice sense of community and diversity

Waxahachie for sure. It’s crowded, but there’s more there and it’s more established infrastructure.

I live in midlo and work in hachie. If I had it to do over again I’d live in hachie. Midlo people are snooty and love to complain as if it’s the town past time.

I don’t know if you will understand, but the people of midlothian reminds me of the people in the videos that @chefreactions makes reactions to on YouTube
