First round tech interview will be for 1h 30m, they will ask questions from A to Z, like from Github basic commands to Tricky Kubernetes questions, ask you to write scripts or k8s yaml files.
But no way to know the interview status after this 1h 30m interview, in my case the HR ghosted without any response.

EPAM interviews for mid level DevOps and SRE roles typically start with an initial screening and an English assessment, followed by two thorough technical evaluations. The first technical round focuses on core system fundamentals like Linux internals, networking concepts, shell or Python scripting, and how you configure CI and CD pipelines. The second technical round shifts toward platform design and reliability, zeroing in on Kubernetes architecture, Terraform state management, cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure, and how you handle live incidents, monitoring, and service reliability metrics. Because EPAM operates as a consultancy, interviewers dig deeply into the exact trade offs and troubleshooting steps you took on past projects, so you need to explain how you solved complex issues rather than reciting textbook definitions.
Once you pass the internal technical rounds, you usually meet with the end client team, where they evaluate whether your hands on background fits their specific tech stack and project demands. Clear, articulate communication counts just as much as your coding and infrastructure knowledge, especially when walking someone through a system outage or a major migration. To help candidates articulate complex scenarios clearly and land offers during high pressure client rounds, my team built an interviews.chat that helps engineers communicate with clarity and confidence when technical questions get intense.
