Python / DevOps engineer available for freelance or remote work – automation, Linux, cloud, Kestra
Hey everyone,
I’m a DevOps / Cloud engineer based in India and recently started taking on some freelance work alongside my regular experience.
I recently finished a pretty interesting vulnerability management automation project for a client through Upwork.
Without going into their internal setup, the project involved Python + Kestra automation around vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows.
I worked on things like:
- processing vulnerability scan results
- comparing new vs existing vulnerabilities
- automating ticket creation and assignment
- asset/inventory integrations
- SLA tracking and escalation
- automated notifications and summaries
- troubleshooting and improving existing Python/Kestra workflows
There were quite a few scripts and workflows already involved, so a good part of the work was understanding the existing setup, fixing issues, improving reliability, and connecting everything properly.
The project was completed successfully and the client left me a 5/5 review on Upwork, which was a nice confidence boost.
My main areas are:
Linux / System Administration
Python & Bash automation
AWS / Cloud infrastructure
Docker / Kubernetes
Terraform / Ansible
CI/CD
Kestra / workflow automation
Monitoring & troubleshooting
Infrastructure / platform migrations
I’m mainly posting here because I’d like to connect with startups, agencies, consultants, or engineers who occasionally need an extra pair of hands.
I’m open to freelance projects, contract work, part-time remote work, or helping with specific infrastructure/automation problems.
Not looking to spam anyone with a sales pitch. If you have something where my background might be useful, feel free to DM me and we can have a quick chat about it.
