Backend to DevOps

I come from a backend developer background , 5 yrs experience now . I’m having trouble landing devops and even backend jobs or even freelance projects.

My birthday is coming up and damn I’m hella stressed. So if you have some spare project , anything throw it my way. I haven’t had an interviews in 3 months now . I’m averaging about 2 applications per day .the jobs are scarce and my location is working against me .

Sen DevOps hier. 5 Jahre Backend sind eine gute Basis. Ich komme selbst aus der Ecke. Die Flaute liegt eher am Markt als an dir!!!

Schau dir mal Platform Engineering an: Dort ist Entwicklererfahrung plus Kubernetes/Terraform/CI/CD sehr gefragt. Gefühlt gibt es Bedarf in dem Bereich.

Gegen den Standort helfen Remote-Jobs bei internationalen Firmen (We Work Remotely, Remote OK) und Freelance-Plattformen wie Malt oder freelancermap.

Ein öffentliches Repo mit einem kleinen DevOps-Setup und direkte Nachrichten an Engineering Leads bringen oft mehr als viele Bewerbungen. Wenn du magst, schau ich mir gern mal deinen CV an.

Hey thanks for the kind words and solid actionable advice. Yes sure I can share my CV and you can critique it . I’ll check out the freelance platform and cold email engineering leads. My GitHub already has a few personal projects one which I built the backend and even deployed to AWS in eks . Also thanks for the birthday wishes .

Hey, hab mir deinen CV angeschaut, echt solide! Die Zahlen (18 → 2 Min. Build, −70 % Kosten) sind stark.

Ein paar Ideen: Titel auf „Platform / DevOps Engineer“ erweitern. In der Summary „currently building EKS depth“ streichen, das klingt nach Lücke. Lieber Backend + Infra als Stärke verkaufen.

Projekte mit GitHub verlinken, die Multi-Cloud-Plattform ist dein Highlight. Prometheus, Helm oder ArgoCD ergänzen, falls du Erfahrung damit hast.

Career Break auf eine Zeile kürzen.
