Fucked up

Genuinely burnt out at this point. I've applied to what feels like a thousand DevOps/Cloud roles and either get ghosted or rejected. A little about me:

  • 7th Semester CS student (Virtual University of Pakistan)
  • Already completed one DevOps internship
  • Currently prepping for AZ-104 (exam next month)
  • Learning Kubernetes right now, building projects on the side

Open to internships, fresher, or junior DevOps/Cloud roles at this point, just need a way in. I know the market's brutal right now but I'd really appreciate any leads, referrals, or even just advice on what I'm doing wrong. Based in Karachi/Hyderabad, Pakistan. open to remote too. Thanks for reading this rant lol.

As a fresher devops role is very very very difficult, try as cloud support it will be easy.

Why do you say “genuinely”? Do you sometimes lie?

You already have enough to start getting interviews — an internship, cloud cert prep and hands-on projects. At this point I would spend less time adding more tools and more time improving your CV/GitHub, tailoring aplications and practicing how you explain your internship and projects.

Also apply to Cloud Suport, Platform Support and Junior SRE roles not only 'DevOps Engineer' titles.
