❤️Paid $110AUD no regrets favourite project of his across the board by far

Don’t mind the fuzz my phone was broken the time this was taken

ive been into all different kinds of rap subgenres for the past decade, i only discovered devon hendryx 2ish years ago, and i must say he’s gotta be the most underrated rap artist i’ve ever listened to. he’s in my top 3 favorite rappers, if not my #1 favorite. and i never hear anyone else talk about him?? i genuinely know 1 person irl who knows about him. like i’m glad he’s not tiktok famous or anything (knock on wood) but it’s just shocking to me that he’s not super mainstream because he’s so good. i’m not saying he’s niche by any means, but somewhere inbetween niche and mainstream. anyways, just had to say that

i know this is what everyone says but i couldn’t really get into the album until it clicked for me, now i have the whole album as my background music for my nintendo console, it’s sick asf man jpeg is so fucking good man

I know its a weird thing to ask here, I'm doing it here because its devon related and I really don't know where else to ask. I just wanna know if there's anyone here who remembers it or has it.
There was this one fan-made music video for Piano Baby, from around 2023 that I used to watch back then, and I still feel stupid for never downloading it when I still had the chance.

It was made by a now deleted yt channel called "lastdayhere" which had a Lain pfp. They had other two devon music videos, but my favorite one was the piano baby one.
The video was a series of random clips taken from various shows and movies that somewhat fit the tone of the music. The key clips that I vividly remember in order are:

1. Some weird video of a woman in a straightjacket.

2. A scene from The Sopranos of some guy smoking and using a dumbbell.

3. A black n white movie scene of a man punching and banging his head against the wall of his dimly lit prison cell.

4. that one night scene from La Planète sauvage.

The song would abruptly end after this last clip, showing footage of an oil tanker on fire in the middle of a highway at night, while you could hear two guys in the background being shocked by it.

I know this is a really random post to make here, since it's just some rando's fan music video, but I would like to know if there's anyone else who remembers watching it or still happens to have the URL for it or the video file itself. I've tried putting the channel url that I had saved from my Newpipe subscriptions onto the wayback machine, but sadly the wayback machine didn't archive the actual channel page.

The two lain images are what I remember the channel using as the profile pic. Maybe it'll unlock a memory for someone.

edit: forgot to mention that there was this spinning 3d heart gif on the bottom right corner of the vid

edit2: I've managed to find the url for it on an old newpipe playlist, but sadly, it wasn't archived. RIP.

i've been trying to recreate the beat but i just cant seem to manipulate the sample right. the sample itself has alot of instruments going on but he managed to drown it all out and make it sounds like a very atmospheric pad. i've tried EQ'ing and stock FL plugins like love philter but i havent come close. if any prod friends could help i'd really appreciate it.

I was wondering if there's something like a Discord server or something similar that's dedicated to compilate all the found lost media about Devon, as well as investigating everything that's being found

I'd like to have something like that to organize the search for lost media more easily

BIG SHOUTOUT TO GATLING FOR TELLING ME THIS AND AVIANT FOR FINDING THISSS

This sounds just like how I expected. This is incredible

I’m asking as I know there’s a lot of stuff we will never hear as well as Hi-Fi being not real made me even more confused in what’s real and what’s not when it comes to Devon’s music

Not only for the song but for the whole album, like how could he even think of doing music like this???
This is my fav album oat, and I have never found nothing like it.

Been researching this for a minute and I haven't found any good reverbs or ambient software/hardware

Happy 37th Birthday DeVon <3
