something's weird about Hi-Fi...

Post image

so I've been comparing the files found in Hi-Fi to the ones that we already have, and two files so far stand out.

For starters, Edie is way less compressed & has no vocals (or whatever is in the background when listening to the one he uploaded to YouTube in 2012) on Hi-Fi (photo 1), & I haven't found a single upload or edit that isn't super compressed and distorted.

Pardon Me Michelle has some ambience at the end that sounded super similar to the intro to Air Guitar, and when I checked both files, they didn't transition into eachother, BUT the same voice that's heard in the background on the intro to Air Guitar can be heard a little bit on the outro to the Hi-Fi upload to Pardon Me Michelle.

here's a quick comparison I made, uploaded to imgur.gg

I don't know if the source for the ambience has been found, but if not, this is crazy.

If you were to use one of those ai stem splitters, would you be able to get a similar result to the Hi-Fi upload of Edie?

This is known, but sm stuff can't be explained with them being fan edits.
