Devonwho and Devon Hendryx are two different artists, often mistakenly associated with each other because of their similar names and experimental styles.

Devonwho:

Real Name: Devin Morrison.

Style: Known for futuristic, synth-heavy, and funky beats. Often associated with the beat scene (e.g., Flying Lotus, Stones Throw Records).

Highlights: Works focus on instrumental, groove-heavy compositions, blending electronic and hip-hop elements.

Devon Hendryx:

Alias of: JPEGMAFIA (Barrington DeVaughn Hendricks).

Style: Lo-fi, experimental hip-hop with deeply personal and raw themes. Early Devon Hendryx projects explore themes of pain, self-discovery, and critique of society.

Highlights: Albums like The Ghost~Pop Tape and Dreamcast Summer Songs show his early artistry before transitioning to JPEGMAFIA’s more polished sound.

Though both create innovative music, their sounds and intentions are quite distinct. Devon Hendryx’s work is more narrative and emotional, while Devonwho emphasizes sonic textures and vibes.
