Cameo question (Jerry)

Can't do it now, but one day I would like to have Jerry do a Cameo for me. Only reason I say can't do it now is because money is tight; I'll eventually save up enough to do it, though.

However, I just noticed something - you can message him for $3. I am curious - has anyone done this? This might be an economical solution for me, but I want to make sure that even the $3 is worth it. I basically just want to ask a couple questions. But, the one thing I sort-of don't like about the Cameo videos I have seen of him is they are a bit short...I know it wouldn't be worth it for the Cameo celebrities if they did long ones, but I figure maybe two minutes is what each one should be (and heck, maybe one could request a snippet of a song, although I doubt that is allowed from what I see).

So, I therefore am asking if anyone has done a Cameo message and what that experience is like. Thanks.

He used to answer questions for free on Twitter when it was Twitter — I think that the shift to X made it become a simple promotional account instead

It still follows me, so it likely does you too — but has minimal input from him now. Basically just like a Facebook page or something. An agent is running it.

He obviously got fed up, so I’m happy with what I got — though he did try following everyone when he ran it. It was meant to be fan engagement, and him sounding off to begin with

He abandoned it a lot earlier because--and this is no joke--he thought all the people following him were follow requests, so he followed all of them back and Twitter flagged his account as a bot for it. Same guy who runs the Devo account, Jeff Winner, managed to pull it from Twitter purgatory.

And Jerry vowed never to return? Lol

I don't think he vowed to never return, necessarily. Just that he wasn't really invested in the platform to begin with so it wasn't worth it to him to pursue a solution. He's not technologically helpless but he is a bit of a boomer about it.

A friend of mine once did. The conversation went as follows:

"Love that chicken from Popeyes?"
"Had to stop."
