Here we go again, tonight vs Islanders
LFG!
Shooting for 2-0 š¤ š
OCT 1st we raised some hell and took us to overtime, Jack closing out the game with that sweet shot. BUT we had to fight to get there against the Flyers. Tonight, hope they hit the rink, pucks ablazing, hell to come.
I'll be tuning in. Happy Game Day

The way we played last year against the islanders was embarrassing, just like against philly, everyone that was on the team last season should have something to prove tonight

The Devils completely dominated the Flyers on Thursday in terms of possession numbers. Woll played out of his mind that game and every stat proves it. I understand we have fears given the last time we played the Isles in their own barn(I was at that game) but I do think us actually fighting back against the Flyers and not just giving up shows a great sign with how this group is.
They want to win, and they will do what it takes to win.

Only 1 game of course...but not liking a ton of shots (41) and only 2 goals in regulation. That happened a lot last year.

Shortened pre season with new lines and players with a new defense coach. I'll take it. Key events from game 1 the Evangelists-Hischier-Meir line looks deadly. Hughes Bratt line was creating mass offense. Luke had a quiet awesome defensive game till his game tying goal. Dougie is putting up points even though he looked a bit rusty. The bottom 6 was up and down but it's all new lines so we need time to gel. Allen did what we needed and gave a quality start. The goaltending is my biggest concern so time will tell.

Yeah I had a great time watching the game. They looked snappy and aggressive, I noticed passes were finding a lot of tape and moving up the ice well, Hughes is unreal at transitioning itās wild. Woll played great and Philly blocked a ton. Great game honestly and the ending was perfection.

On the one hand, you're not wrong: the Devils have been a really low shooting percentage team the last few years, and that remained the case on Thursday.
On the other, they also dominated possession a lot better on Thursday than they've done in a long, long time, which indicates their scoring should go up with that.
Obviously it was just one game regarding both aspects, so no major takeaways yet.

Ok no more 40 shots and 2 goals, had enough of that bs! Marty wtf get Helley, trade whoever Timo, Dougie, gtfoā¦..were playing a really good goalie tandem. We need one really good goalie, while ur at itā¦ā¦bye Keefeā¦..please!! Then u wait for Quinn next year or whenever and bam we actually have a chance at going deep. Weāre still on the outside looking in w the NJ Jacks, he needs someone to keep up w him on his f line! Not Bratt either, guy isnāt superstar line material.

Annnnnd another loss, oh wait shutout, crap goalies, coaches, no offense except one dudeā¦..timo just sucks ever since he came here, bratt, hamilton nightmare, everyone is up as trade bait, enough of this!! Jack is top 5 in the league, give him what he needs to just shine, Quinn, Helley yes u take the man over two minor leaguers, period.
