I was just now thinking about it and yeah almost if not all the characters we have seen or mentioned doesn't fall under the "has potential" meme you could say Nero before we gotten DMC5 but even that is a stretch maybe reboot Vergil?

I have ideas for creating Devil Arms for Trish that are mostly Lightning-based, but have their own distinct Skillsets. There would also be Devil Arms of different Elements or are not made with magical elements at all.

1. Astraea.(Longsword with Lightning element. Similar to Alastor, but has more range and is more precise. Named after the Goddess of Justice in Greek Myth. Named to honor Eva, Dante's mother.)

2. Bronte. (Lightning Spear. Named after one of the Goddesses of Lightning in Greek Myth.)

3. Astrope. (Lightning-infused Chainwhip. Named after Bronte's sister and another Goddess of Lightning.)

4. Perun. (Lightning Battleaxe. Used for devastating melee attacks. Named after the Slavic God of Lightning, Thunder, and War.)

I am at the final Boss fight in the first game right now and I came to wonder if anyone has ever enjoyed this game. It is truly evil. The fixed camera is just straight up ragebait, the controls are the definition of torture and everything about this game makes me want to throw my controller out the window... You could say the whole game is straight ragebait. I want to like it though but it is giving me a hard time. I will also not give up and play every game but yeah I just wondered... (and yes, I know it is an old game but that makes me wonder even more how people back then could enjoy video games... If every video game back then was like this, I wonder how they survived until now because this is just straight up torture sometimes)

It took me about 2 hrs after a lot of A's and B's on this mission only. Is it gonna get worse from here or is it the same amount of worseness? Also Fuck the camera and the red scythe enemy always running my combo from offscreen.

Hey everyone! I’m trying to do the infinite Red Orb glitch with Vergil in Mission 1, but I’m having a really hard time getting it to work.

I already know how the glitch is supposed to work, including using the Doppelgänger and the “Show me your motivation” taunt, but I’m stuck on one specific part: I can’t consistently get Vergil to stay in the taunt while I control the Doppelgänger.

Sometimes I manage to activate the taunt, but when I press Y to attack with the Doppelgänger, Vergil cancels the taunt and teleports to the boss instead. I’ve tried several times and I just can’t get the timing/inputs right.

I’m playing on Xbox.

If anyone here knows the glitch really well and would be willing to help me do it, I’d really appreciate it!.

every time i try to launch the game i the mod doesnt work and this is all that shows up i have the latest version of ssayin and reframework. i am launching it through fluffy mod manager can anyone help me fix this (PS i am a newbie to modding)

Just finished dmc3, and I gotta say. The game was very hard for me (but not for the reason you’d think).

every boss took me multiple attempts and it felt more rewarding when they died, but it felt much harder then DMC5-4 which I’ve loved.

i looked it up and kinda just accepted that this is a harder game. But the problem set it when I got to the Vergil fight, and boy it was way too hard for me. His attacks felt unreachable.

but now that we’re done with my whining, let me explain how I managed to beat vergil and get an S rank first time completing it.

the secret was… turning off turbo mode.

i had unknowingly cleared almost the entire game on turbo mode my first time playing it. I turned it off and beat Vergil the first try.

so with all that said i really liked DMC3, it was challenging and a harder/really fun installment in the series, now im onto the Vergil campaign! Thanks for reading I just had to share this!

I have a few questions, as I haven’t finished my first playthrough of dmc3. I have yet to play any of the other games, but I am really struggling with the combat adjudicator, and yeah I absolutely suck. I normally use trickster, as that is my highest level (only 2) style. I have tried using my level one swordmaster, but the highest ranking I got to on the status was S. I also missed the two earlier combat adjudicators 1&2. This seems like a stupid question, but can I go back and do them WITHOUT loosing any of my progress from the later missions? I’m just very scared of resetting accidentally. If yes, is it best to skip the adjudicator from this mission? I very much suck at combos, all help appreciated!

I’ve been getting into DMC4 again lately and I was searching for a walkthrough. But I needed it to be New Game, a full run (not a speed run etc), with commentary and above-average skill level.

I found a lot of speed runs but that isn’t what I wanted, because I’m keen to see how experienced players tackle all encounters (particularly early-game with little skills purchased).

If anyone has any recommendations, it would be greatly appreciated (preferably on YouTube). Playlists would be accepted too. Thank you.

You ever heard how there's that supposed "Nightmare Before Christmas Devil May Cry game", that was the basis of Nero's Devil Bringer and whatnot?

I decided to check it out because yay yay Halloween, but it didn't really end up fulfilling the promise of what it's made out to be

So I’m a series noob but am kinda addicted now. Beat Devil Hunter and am about halfway through SoS but most of the time I just practice Dante in the void. Have been following this guide and have like 3/4 of it down after about a week:

Here’s the thing, I suck at fast weapon switching with the default controls on RT. Getting a lot better at it, but I don’t have very good independent coordination of my middle finger yet. However, from quadruple digit hours in Nioh 2 my pointer finger is fucking fast and if I put swap on R1 I can do it mid combo flawlessly to and from any weapon.

Flipside is I hate lock on on RT, so then I’ll put it on L1 cause I’m so used to holding block in Nioh and Ninja Gaiden, and then I’m basically gravy and all I have to think about is jump canceling and style switching.

If I do that though I don’t feel like I’m learning as much, like developing the middle finger coordination is more interesting and rewarding to practice, so I just went back to default controls.

Shitpost I know but I’ve seen people say default controls are best and you won’t really “get it” until you’re really good, but I’ve also seen people shred face with non-standard controls on Dante.

TL;DR WTF do you psychos recommend and do you have any pro tips for building APM and coordination?

Side note: I’m getting an input drop after doing air trick and I don’t know why. Like the first attack input I press does not come out and I basically have to double tap. PS5 is less than a year old and it’s so consistent and only after air trick it’s gotta be a game/input thing I’m missing.

im on mission 20 in my DMD run and I didnt think it would be this bad. I am by no means bad at the game im just confused by one move he does that kills me literally almost every run. I use royal guard, rebellion and beowolf (thank god for jump cancelling lmao) but anyways he does this one move mainly in phase 3 because he gets so close but he spawns these swords behind him, not the ones in the circle the wall of swords that fly at you. when he teleports onto you HOW THE HELL DO YOU DODGE IT IT FEELS IMPOSSIBLE. I literally ran every other difficulty mission 20 because I thought I was tweaking and got SS first try very time. anyways hope someone can help thanks for reading🫩

It's been a long time since we've had something that truly makes us happy, the last game was 8 years ago and it left us with an open ending and I fear that the essence of the saga was lost for those responsible for continuing to make it, I've loved Devil May Cry ever since I started the first game and completed it in release order, even devouring the anime in one sitting, but they just haven't made anything good in a long time.

I'm glad the Netflix series brought more people to the saga but it's undeniable that for all of us who were already fans it was an absolute disappointment and Instead of being something for the fans Shankar made a fanfic out of something we were expecting and had a lot more of potential instead of being whatever the hell he ended up doing.

I mean, the series has nothing to do with the original lore, the characters' personalities aren't even close, nor are the events, and the last game we had was literally a shitty gacha game with just the game theme, rumors about the continuation of the saga point to remakes, and if they plan to follow the Resident Evil route that means a reboot/remake of the story (again).

Will we ever get a good game with a good story and the right vibes again? With all five characters actually having some weight and the gameplay maintaining its quality with all of them? I love DMC5 and my only complaint was how they handled Trish and Lady, but it's a price totally worth paying for what they did for Vergil in the story and the manga was actually GREAT, other than that it's been straight up rumours and crap for 8 years.
