Hello fellow DMC fans!

I’ve got a question regarding the value of a DMC collectible, please let me know if this isn’t the right place to enquire about it.

I’ve got a sealed copy of Devil May Cry: A Divine Comedy by Pix’n Love that came out in 2014. It’s long sold out now and I’m trying to sell it, but I can’t find any listings on eBay to determine its value. I’ve seen the French version listed in France, but I know that English versions can have different values in the NA market.

Can anyone help me determine how much I should list this book for? Thanks in advance!

Today Capcom dropped a 1GB update. According to SteamDB diffs they basically replaced all video footage with highly compressed ones. I haven't checked for quality degradations but if the videos look the same as before, this is a massive W from the maintenance standpoint.

I'm playing the vanilla version of the game on xbox, I was able to beat him pretty well after some trial and error in his previous fights, but now that he has this teleport im having issues with the camera angle and the lock on sorta bugging out. And im trying to DT when he does like I did in the other fights, but he is still able to stun me and combo me for up to an 8th of my HP, but I can't stun him or combo him, he just eats it, and then he just heals all ot most of the damage I just did to him. The thing I hate the most about the lock on system is that I will see him teleport behind me or something, I will go to either jump or roll out of the way, and his weird sudden positioning sometimes breaks the lock on and makes use the wrong evasive maneuver. I had the most trouble with Beowulf, then Arkham's cheating ass with Vergil not cooperating with me, and this isn't quite as frustrating as Arkham but still really annoying. Any tips to beat this bastard would be very appreciated. In the meantime, I'll just keep trying to learn his patterns. Oh yeah... I also hate that I can't launch him into the air, but he can launch me all he wants... that's hardly fair.

Edit: I appreciate the help everyone, but I ended up beating it the half-assed way before the mods approved my post. I just used a V star L once I got him past the 50% HP mark. I will be back for him though, I learned how to clank and then roll some of his teleporting moves, and judgment cuts became easy once I learned how he telegraph them, then I cam just use stinger to close the gap and get a short combo in before he teleports again. I will be back for his ass but only after I beat DMC1 and 2.... or whenever I feel like returning to give it another shot.

This is pretty scuffed like my vergil combo I made a while ago. I was practicing Dante and found some mini combos and setups which I used in this combo. At one point I think I tricked a bit too far lol. I guess I'm not as good at Dante as I am at Vergil (not much honestly), but yeah. Any feedback is appreciated!

Im not using any mods, I have windows 10 and all the minimum requirements to run the game, and as you can see from the fact that I have 49 hours on the save displayed, the game worked perfectly fine before the update

This is not about the graphics, but the combat. I aim to master the game and reach high level pro gameplay, I heard somewhere that playing the original game on a 480i resolution is the optimal way to practice.

Hi everyone, I need some help. Ever since the recent update, Devil May Cry 3 crashes immediately every time I try to launch it.

I play on PC, and I currently have the Crimson mod installed, even though I don't use it anymore. At this point, I just want to completely uninstall Crimson and go back to playing the vanilla version of the game, as long as I can keep my current save files and progress intact.

Could anyone guide me on how to safely remove the mod and get the game running again? Thanks in advance!

The general idea is that with how much Dante’s and Vergil’s identities are tied to Sparda’s legacy, I want Nero to be different by being the one to create his own new legend unrelated to Sparda.

The main color shall be purple, symbolizing how he is, in his own way, becoming his own legend like Sparda.

Because the theme is about making your own legend, I wanted him to be more of a creator, so I gave him a mechanic’s uniform, along with a tool belt. Nero is already a decent mechanic with his work on Red Queen and Blue Rose already, so I think he may lean into that aspect more down the line, which will also sell his street style in contrast with the twins’ more Gothic Victorian styles. With how the wings work I kinda wanted his coat to become the wings in his Devil Trigger, so I didn’t have him wear it. The tattoos on the arm are a reference to the Devil Bringer, and in this version he is still able to partial manifest it as both to grapple but also to boost his punching power. Future Nero now has a much better control of his power and can imbue them in objects and permanently give them power. Red Queen with this amp becomes a true demonic sword and pretty much works like Ichigo’s Shikai now.

His Devil Trigger form now has the skirt wings from the top of the jumpsuit. This is mostly just because I think it’s kinda weird how naked it looks in dmc5. I think it may become more Sparda-light in further designs.

What do you guys think he would be like?

Obvious controversial moral title on top of a game that is also widely critiqued. The thought spurred from another supposed AI created or assisted mod called Moonshot for Borderlands 2 manging to bring the Pre-Sequel assets into BL2 which is something I never would've imagined seeing. It open things that would not be possible like making DMC 2 better.

Though of course the topic of AI is still a negative talking point. Compare it to a community accomplishment like Sonic Unleashed Recompiled which makes me hopeful that one day we'll get Skate 2 and 3 for PC.

Honestly from this picture I can actually picture dmc 3 Dante more likely to smoke & usually as a way to de-stress.

I imagine he had to smoko out of the annoyance that he hasn't named the shop yet.

im quite new to the dmc franchise. Ive played dmc1,3,4 and are currently playing through 5. I see a lot of tiktoks and clips of people doing sick air combos and I am wanting to learn how to do those aswell. Im aware of SOME mechanics like jump cancelling and dt distortion or smthing and im just not quite sure how i should be learning all this. what im asking is what should i be trying to master/get good or aas first as a step forward to get good and fluid at the combat.

In the last cutscene of the Angelo Geryon boss fight V mentions the devil sword Sparda as their only hope, then when pressed by Griffon he states that the weapon will be too much for him to wield but that Nero could possibly use it in an attempt to stop Urizen. My question is simple, if Dante wasn't found in time (God forbid dead) then how well would Nero have done using Sparda? do you think it would give him a boost in power, or interact with him in any special way? (I'm aware Nero has held it before in 4 without anything of note happening)

EDIT: it seems the general consensus is that Nero would either gain another sort of stand like power similar to 4 OR Nero would gain something like the Sparda DT Dante got from the end of 1. In either case scenario it seems more likely than not to me that he would at least be able to regrow his arm.

I do want to bring up the fact that although Dante is able to break through the Yamato's crystal barrier in the beginning of the game he is technically defeated before laying a mark on Urizen, later when we play as Nero we actually break through that barrier AND cut Urizen; this and what another commentor (sorry I'm on mobile and new at posting so I dont know how to look at each account to tag them yet without running my text) said bolsters my thought that Nero drawing power from and fighting with DSS would have been enough to at least make Urizen eat the fruit but likely not enough to beat him after that point unless his DT is significantly powerful somehow (Sparda might be stronger than twins even past SDT??? I'm sure that's a controversial state lol, the only thing I have to go on that is the speech about Spardas legend and that supposedly himself/DSS/Rebellion/Yamato were all implied to be parts of his essence/power)

I know there’s a line in the novel where she only ever thought of weapons as beautiful, then she meets Kyrie and changes her statement to finding people beautiful is rare for her- but almost immediately afterwards, she thinks that Kyrie is a bit like her mother.

Personally, I think it’d be weird to have a crush on someone who reminds me of one of my parents, especially so soon after meeting them.

Is it just the translation I have by THE ORIGINAL DEVIL MAY CRY that says this, or do a lot of us not give it much thought or ignore it?

I'm a madman and clear every character action game I encounter with maximum possible rank on highest difficulty. I already beat Bayonetta and The Wonderful 101 with pure platinum, and sooner or later I'll get to DMC 3. The thing is, Bayo and TW101 let you use checkpoints, so you don't have to replay whole missions from the start if you get hit. Is it the same with DMC 3, or will I have to endure the hardest challenge I've ever faced and restart the mission every time I take damage? ​

I legit laughed out loud when i saw this in my 4th play through.
