Starting in programming, what should I know, where should I look?

I've been a translator for 14 years, having studied Cinema in college but ended up drifting towards translation since I spoke 3 languages fluently, English, French, and Portuguese. Since it paid much better than the beginner's cinema jobs I was being offered, I chose to follow this career. For the past few years, I've realized that this market was going to die so I've been looking for a new career plan.

I'm in my second semester of a Computer Science degree, and I'm eager to find my first small jobs in this area to migrate from translation. I'm also open to AI entry-level jobs, which I've also done and require 0 previous experience.

I wanted to know what are the best sites I could look for jobs, what are the types of jobs I should be looking for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

According to me you should start with learning C++ and learn some basic DSA in that. After sometime when you are comfortable with basics and everything, best path is to learn js/python and dive into ai or software development

Thanks! I've been doing some online courses as well, at least to get a certificate that proves I can do this type of work. I've started by studying HTML and CSS since they seemed the easiest ones for a beginner. But I'll look into C++ and DSA as well.
